    Hi
I had had back surgery a while back and have been told to try Spinal Pilates.
There is a difference from the normal Pilates. My understanding is that it concentrates more on the Back to build up certain muscles that will inprove posture and strengthen the Back. Anyway i am looking for somewhere in north Dublin that does this type of plates ,anybody know anywhere?
    Cheers
    Ray

no spinal pilates isnt different to normal pilates but there is differing levels of pilates exercises.......pilates obviously is working on your core (diaphragm, deep abdominals and back muscles and pelvic muscles).

I would recommend starting at a very low level - if you dont get the basics right you may end up with more problems, there are plenty of chartered physiotherapists who run beginners classes in the north dublin area.....look up http://www.cppp.ie/

good luck and stick with it - results will take a few weeks to show.
