I was sure I saw it listed today in their printed 'big save' catalogue, which would imply that it is also available instore?? Although you are right it does say 'web exclusive' on the site - it's a bit confusing!

    Sold out instore guys

Are you positive it is sim free? It doesn't come up when you select Sim Free on the Special Offers page.

The LG Arena @ €129 sim free looks good - anyone any opinions on this compared to the Wave?

I didn't know they were still doing the trade in thing? Is is any old phone and do you need the charger and everything with it?

It isn't locked to any network but it still has an o2 branding. I moved to meteor this morning and the meteor simcard is working in it :)

They still are. The one I traded in was a Nokia 6070, they didn't ask for a charger or anything else.

After playing with it for a day I must say that It's an absolutely great phone! The super amoled screen is gorgeous(fantastic colours, blacks and viewing angles!), the audio quality is great too. I was a bit worried about the BADA OS but in fact its a good system, not hard to get used to at all. Before buying the Wave i was using an iPhone 3GS for about half a year, the Wave is clearly a better phone.

I'm currently on Vodafone payg. I would like to keep my current number so should I choose the 'new connection' option for O2 and then just use my current Vodafone sim? Thanks.

Is it actually SIm Free? Really? Seems too good to be true. Does that just mean it is not locked to a certain SIM but you still have to pay the bill for a year?

So it seems this is on 3 network only.
Cany anyone, please, confirm that phones are coming unlocked?
I want to use this on meteor...
Somone, please, pop some other card into phone and let me know.

    Thanks!

EDIT: I just ordered one, I think they are running out of them as now only available as UPGRADE on 3.

Called to B+M shop this morning in Drogheda and they had none in stock. The guy in shop said they were not expecting more in stock till sometime next week.
I came home to get 1 online and they are all gone as well so no joy with a new phone for the new year :(:(:(

Yeap, I found places online (via code) that would do this slightly cheaper. :)

Same thing happened to me. I went to Blanchardstown to take a look at it. They had one left in stock but said they couldn't do it at the online price. They wanted €329. Time I got home they were all gone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,077 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Wonder how long it will take to arrive in the post? Can someone post when they get theirs?

Odd, I bought mine yesterday in Carphone Warehouse Northside for €150 on O2. You can check stock in store on the website.

Hmm I don't need this but I have it added to my cart, Whats the chances of them still being unlocked on o2 new connection?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 138 ✭✭jaceq

It's 329 on 3 now (on carphone warehouse site), it's 149 for o2 upgrade (no other types left)

Unlock on ebay (via code) is 12.99 GBP so not that bad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Cheers OP (and jaceq for the notification that it's back in stock on O2).. just ordered it as my iPhone 2G was starting to look outdated.

And here's hoping I've more luck with this than my HTC Desire.. bought at end of August, lost at end of October! :(

Picked up one of these bad boys for €150 in Beacon South Quarter, well pleased :)

Just checked mine, swapped the O2 sim for a vodafone sim, worked fine. I would have stuck with Meteor had I known, oh well.

    yep, same for me!

At the moment it appears to be €149 only for O2 new connection/upgrades - someone mentioned this phone can be unlocked.

Not available on vodafone at the mo, and for 3 it's €349 for new connection/upgrades.

It keeps changing though, keep an eye on the site.

Yep, still €149 for me on O2 Upgrade.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 355 ✭✭hootietootie
