Can anyone tell me some exercises to improve balance?

A physio told me to stand with my eyes closed and my arms folded. She said that strengthening my core would also help.

Im no expert but i do some training for balance on the mountain bike i find what works for me is single leg dead lifts and single leg squats with a low weight and work it up over a few weeks i usually do 4X10 of each exercise on each leg if your really intent on shaking things up a bit then start trying it on a basu ball but give it a few weeks first.

The method is 4sets of 10reps on each leg with each exercise what i do is take no rest at all as one leg gets to rest while the other works. So do one leg then straight to the next when thats done repeat the cycle till all 4 sets are complete on the deadlift then straight onto the squats.

single leg dead lift can be seen here

single leg squat can be seen here

basu ball can be seen here

All i can say is that this helps with my balance a lot and its great for my legs

    Hope this info helps.

Edit: someone on here will be better off to advise you on core work but the exercise will help it get a little better.
