I'll get the ball rolling with:
    • Run the Dublin City half marathon in September.
    • Get my weight back to 11st. (Currently 12 ½)
    • Win 4 figures in a poker tournament (Live or online)
Anybody else here got any achievable life goals for the year?

Don't focus everything on darts, and stop contemplating a career from it - I'm just not good enough.

That's it really. I'd be lying to myself if I said I'll lose weight / get fit.

Complete the Limerick & Dublin city marathons
Sort out a proper place to live
    Replace the car!

2011 is gonna be a very very busy year for me. College is gonna get brutally tough and I've got a massive and very important exam to do over the summer whose result will dictate pretty much where I end up in the future! And this is going to take up pretty much all of my time next year. Atleast for the first 3/4th of next year.

    So my goals for 2011:

    - Run the Dublin Marathon and finish faster than my friend.
(It's a bet we've got going. He's a super fit guy and I'm not very fit at all but I like challenges!)
    - Get into a regular workout and study schedule. This is absolutely necessary as the next couple of years in college are going to be brutal and if I don't get my act together by early next year, I'll have serious trouble passing with good grades and getting a decent job.

I think these two things are going to keep me pretty much completely occupied over the next year so I don't think I can have any other goals apart from this.

I dont think setting a date it the best method of giving up.. I smoked for 9 years and gave up last August. Never set a date, just said to myself one day, I've had enough of this crap. Threw out the box I had in my pocket with about 17 left and that was the end of that chapter!

Now I can't stand the smell of smoke. It lingers everywhere!

Cut boards & Facebook down to strictly 30 minutes a day.
    Get up to 11 stone.
Make an albums worth of music.
    Run a half marathon.
    Deadlift twice my body weight.
    Move out of home.
    Quit smoking.
Get enough lessons for the driving test.

I did that about 2 weeks ago, was off them for a few days and realised it was pointless since I'd be having loads of sessions over christmas and new years night. I'm on my last pack of tobacco now anyway, no more after this one.

Get my bench press to my bodyweight, squat to bodyweight and a half and deadlift to twice my bodyweight.

Lose some bodyfat (not sure how much though, will judge by looks).

    Give up drinking.

Study for, sit and pass some FE-1 exams.

Save more money than I have previously.

    Sort out my pension.

Work hard and perform to the best of my abilities, which is acheivable once I cut down/limit internet time in work.

Eat healthier, more than likely Paleo.

    Take up HIIT - running.

    Get a girlfriend.

Paint my Eldar army - 1,750 points.

Visit home/Kerry more often and do more outdoor things.

    Get out golfing more often.

Get fitter, two years ago I was 17 stone, now I'm just under 15 stone and happt enough ish, don't have a set target weight just want to lose a bit more flab and get stronger & fitter. Had ambitions to run a half marathon but my left knee takes offence to running over 6 miles, might improve if I lose more weight.

Career wise, dunno, hopefully find more lucrative work :pac:

Try not to be as much of a pr1ck next year, it comes naturally though so it's not easy to be good :pac:

Wouldn't mind learning how to swim too

Stop smoking... I got Allen Carr's book, so here's hoping.

Run the Dublin marathon in the autumn.

    Visit a dentist :(

There is a triathlon in Mayo in June I could not enter last year because I was too unfit, I plan to win it this year.

Alot of people talking about marathons, they are nothing special, expecially the Dublin marathon, its horrible. Much better trying to run a 5km or 5mile.
