bigpond sim router

hi all. i got one of these but cant seem to get it to work. http://siaargroup.blogspot.com/2010/11/bigpond-3g-wireless-router-72-home.html it will power up and is recieving a good 2g signal in the house but it wont accept the wpa psk key when the laptop asks for the security password, ive tried entering the other numbers…

ive got an external 17dbi antenna to connect to it but want to see it working before i go to any more work.

ive also tried connecting it to the laptop with the lan cable but it says local only.

im on the 02 network, and have to use my nokia n97 mini as a modem (my mobile modem is broken, the reason i bought this in the first place).

please, please, please. if anyone can help id be made up.
