They are Different Things. Various differences I can't exactly remember.
They look different from each other on their thorax.
I suppose I could go look on wikipedia so I could look smart.

Meh.

But when people say "I ate shrimp/prawn" they usually interchange the two species. I think most of the prawns the Aussies eat are actually shrimp.

Well I knew there'd have to be some difference alright, but when they eat them they are interchangeable... I see.

So how do you know that lil chap was a shrimp? Because no way could you have noticed his differing gill structure from all the way over there!
