I've been using a three day, full body workout for the past three moths, and am thinking of changing to the Westside for Skinny Bastards in the new year.

My question regards the first exercise on each day. For the Max Effort Lift he asks you to "Work up to a max set of 3-5 reps." Does this mean simply lift the most I can for 3-5 reps, or start with smaller weights, do 3-5, increase the weight, rinse and repeat, in one session?

Thanks in advance, and also thanks to all the posters here for helping a newcomer learn so much.

If this is the first time you've used a serious, proven programme - and assuming you plan to follow it with commitment, eat right etc - then you're gonna be amazed at the progress you make with this programme.

Best of luck and enjoy! :)

Cheers for the encouragement WHIP IT. I've been getting my diet in shape over the last few weeks, but from January I'll also stop drinking for a month or two, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this works.
