    Hey,

Has anyone used the Cunningham Equation to work out calorific needs for maintenance/bulking/cutting etc.

    http://users.telenet.be/WBtE/cunning.html

I am currently trying to eat more to lift more in 5X5.

I used the equation above and based on a 6 foot 1 male, 89 kilos, roughly 19% body fat on workout days I should be eating 3,800 cals and non workout days 3,000 calories, and thats only for maintenance.

I only started the new diet today, I ate quite a bit but according to fitday I only managed 2,700 cals, 92g of fat, 214 carbs and 277 protein. I looked at g'ems ont he stickies and based on that 2,800 would be maintenance, I didnt factor in exercise on that one.
