I got the 32" and I love it, basically what do you need it for?? Assuming its the same as the one I got, then it has all the bells and whistles an up to date tv can have.

Also the three year warranty is an added plus.

No Dvd Player?, Pity Am trying to locate a TV of this size with a DVD player attacched if possible. Local Aldi had a TV recently but stock was sold out when I went to buy.

Harvey Norman has on with Mpeg4 and a built in dvd player for 179

Anyone actually get one of these before? Any others I've seen in this price range/size are LCD. LED in general sounds like an advancement to me. Also they're mentioning saorview compatibility, pretty much an essential requirement for non cable/satellite viewers now.

Would like to know if jeffk's 32" or vectra's 40" were LCD or LED?

Thinking of getting one of these to use as a PC monitor as well, has anyone got the 22inch one.

Anyone pick this up, would love to know your thoughts on it. It's the first LED TV I've seen Lidl offering.

I got one this morning, had to ask for it as it wasn't on display. Very impressed with the picture on it.

Strange, over in Blanch shopping Centre they had them on display ala the 32" one.

Id agree its a great picture, I had a look @ the box today and seems to be the same as the 32" just with the smaller screen. The menu on them is great also, VERY easy to turn on and use.

Lidl advertising says it plays video files through the usb. No mention of that on the box though. Has anyone tried this?

    What's the sound like?

Ive used it a few times now as the media player I have wont play some mp4 videos and this tv does. The stick has to be formatted to fat32, you can easily do this with a smaller stick and transfer videos onto it as you need.

Sound and picture are great, I was surprised how well it looks, but this is also down to the codec an bit rate etc. Fast forward/pause etc are all there, subtitle support also, but im not to sure on how to use it properly.

Pity you can't record onto the USB, would be a great feature. It is a great TV for €200, extremely thin and great picture quality. The EPG is very bog standard though.

Just got one. The sound is rubbish - worst aspect of it.
Picture is good though and it has soarview and yes it plays video
via usb - only tried .avi files. So (with external speakers for sound perhaps) its
    a good bit of kit.

I took that sound bit wrong, for me its grand, I mean most tvs if you want that cinema sound your going to need a sub woofer and extra speakers.

I assume you tried the different pre-sets or messed with the eq of the sound yourself?

Yes I may be being picky - just sounds a bit tinny to me.

I thought the same till I put the top line in the eq to 6, thats the base, I tested it with some bass heavy dance music.

If you have a humax HDR, you can copy the files onto a USB Key. Rename them to .avi and they will play off the USB key on this TV.
