    UEFA Champions League
    Group C
    7th Dec 2010
Expected to be shown on Sky Sports 2 and Sky Sports HD2 & TV3
    KO 19:45
    Ground: Old Trafford

    Man United Team News:

Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov are expected to start up front, with Javier Hernandez, who was the match-winner in Valencia, providing the back-up on the bench.

Ryan Giggs made his return from injury in last week's Carling Cup humiliation at West Ham United and will vie with Park Ji-sung for one of the wide berths, with Nani guaranteed to start.

Anderson and Michael Carrick were the midfield two against Blackburn, but Darren Fletcher and Paul Scholes, who was restricted to light running in training on Monday, are also in the equation.

Patrice Evra also had a minimal role in training on Monday, but should be fit to start at left-back, while Michael Owen will not be risked.

Wes Brown and Jonny Evans sat out training in the build-up to the game, so are unlikely to be involved, and Owen Hargreaves and Antonio Valencia are long-term absentees.

    Valencia Team News

Los Che could have a dilemma in goal, with first choice Cesar Sanchez only playing twice in recent weeks just to a hamstring injury and his understudy Miguel Angel Moya out with a torn thigh muscle.

David Navarro, Manuel Fernandes, Mehmet Topal and Jeremy Mathieu are also out, but Miguel could be involved after appearing as a substitute against Real following a brief spell out with a thigh injury.

Fantastic game to give Amos tbh.

The confidence he will gain from being picked in a game where they could potentially make history would be amazing, and if he keeps a clean sheet, his name will in the history books forever.

    amos definitely starts

If they keep a clean sheet tonight, United will be the first team to negotiate the Champions League group stage without conceding a goal

can't see it happening with Amos in goal tbh, if he makes a mistake he'll be known as the person who cost United that record so it's a stupid risk to put on a youngster.

That's the kind of record you only remember if you set tbh.

We aren't going to be sitting here in 5 years calling him a cnut if we don't set it tonight, but if we do, he will be the keeper who shut out Valenica in the big pressure game to do so :P

    Win-win

I really hope he puts a good shift in. Really want to get this clean sheet record

And for berba to continue with is form and Rooney to have a great game. 3-0 no messing tonight

Any thoughts on a first goal scorer tonight. I can't settle on anything.

I have a feeling this is gonna be a bit of a bore to watch and Valencia are going to play very defensively and usually in games like that you'd get a winner from someone like Park, who's 12/1.

Rooney, but poor value. I'll be going with him at the weekend too. Great record vs arsenal.

Lol at all the officials wearing tights.

The lack of atmosphere is astonishing, even for Old Trafford.

Comms on TV3 remarked on that. Said there's quite a few missing due to the cold and that.
