As so many of us ordering from eiretyres website, just wondered how long ACTUAL deliveries are taking at the moment.
If you ordered and received recently, let us know what we can expect

Do you give the 'thumbs up'
    OR the thumbs down

    Regards

Shipping is from Germany, so it takes a bit longer sometimes. In general, calculate with 7 days.

They are providing a tracking number and an estimated delivery date on the invoice, once they ship the tyres, which is basically the day you order.

I've ordered from both Camskill and Eiretyres. Delivery took 3-4 days from UK 7-10 from the krauts.

They must be flat out. I emailed them yesterday as well as the site did not accept our VAT no, no reply as of yet...

00800-33584266 dialed as it is (international toll-free call) or 0049-511-93634640 also dialed as it is (Germany), if it's eiretyres you mean.

Did you get an email titled "Order confirmation and invoice no.", it contains your tracking numbers. Don't panic if the tracking numbers don't actually show anything for a couple of days, it took that long before DPD picked up my package in Germany but when they do you'll see it recorded straight away. They may only pick-up & deliver on weekdays to keep costs down.

I received the order confirmation and invoive no. straight after the order went through, like I said, not panicking :D

I ordered tyres from Eiretyres last Monday (yes Winter ones !). They were 215/50 R17 Kumho's at a really really good price of €50 each, I then got a mail back saying (surprise surprise) that the tyres were currently out of stock and that a delivery date was unknown at this point. I then asked about an alternative tyre and the reply was 'no'. I have since placed an order with Camskill for a set of Hankook's at quite a bit more but at least I know they'll arrive in a couple of days !

I got an ' we received your order' mail straight away but it only has an order number. its not an invoice, has no pdf attached and has no tracking number. i ve tried every method now for 2 days solid to get in contact with them, but got nothing. bit worried really

I ordered a set of Vredestein Wintracs from them last week for a reasonably good price. Got my order confirmation and then nothing. The Wintracs went up 20 euro each on the site a few hours after I ordered them. After a few days I emailed then enquiring about my order and got a reply back to say that they were out of stock and my order was now cancelled.

Can't say that I was very happy with the experience and I have my suspicions that the tyres just went to someone who was happier to pay a higher price than the one I supposedly got.

I much prefer Camskill's site where you can see before you order if a tyre is in or out of stock. I'll be ordering from Camskill instead.

Reason I started this thread was because I'd ordered with eiretyres yesterday(Monday) & got an email confirmation back straight away.
So far so good, then disaster, I realised I'd ordered wrong size (turns out they would have fitted anyway-thats another story thanks to their fitters incorrect advice)
I emailed them asking them to call me to amend order to correct size. I tried to call numerous times & got (answerphone)or person asking me to leave a message or it was just ringing out.
After 6 hours of emailing and calling (I even tried UK numbers as Delticom-owners- have a place in Oxford).
    NO JOY
I contacted credit card co and they confirmed money authorised BUT NOT YET TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT-it was pending!!
That was it for me-didn't like fact they were about to get my money but still might send me the wrong tyres & the 'hassle' thereafter.

In the end, I called again and agin and again until finally about 8.50pm - hallelujah-Got to speak to someone who couldn't amend the order & just cancelled it!!
I was actually 'relieved' and decided I'd order from another source in future. Camskill seem to be getting better reviews (but more expensive)

Anyhow, local garage may have found 4 michelin M&S for me. Says he'll call me tomorrow.

    lameire
KEEP TRYING Eiretyres PHONE NO and LATER SEEMS TO BE THE TIME YOU'LL GET THEM-GOOD LUCK!

Right im going to harass them out of it now.

Firstly their customer service seems to be appauling

Secondly it seems profiteering is going on - waiting a few days at the higher price to see if someone else buys and if they do they can cel the order.

Will let you all know, how i get on

Okay miracle of all miracles i got through on the first ring, spoke to alina and she advised my order was being processed and the tyres are due to be dispatched from their warehouse today for shipping.

When questioned she said some orders were being cancelled as they didnt have the tyre sizes in stock etc., so i dont know what that says about their onlince stock system - doesnt seem very integrated. Also unfair to leave people in the lurch 3 - 4 days before cancelling.

Im happy though as she confirmed mine were in stock, but im not getting excited yet.

Anyway dont think id use them again - camskill seems miles ahead

DPD are not covering themselves with glory either, my tyres have been in the UK for three days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 495 ✭✭Biglad

To "test" the communication lines which seems to be the weaker side of Eiretyres, I kindly asked them via email if they could let me know if the tyres I ordered are in stock and that a simple yes or no would suffice.
I did the same through their callback service, let's see what happens.

I have no experience of any of these companies. But I can imagine none of them were prepared or setup for the volume of orders they've got over the last 3 weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,595 ✭✭✭Stealthirl

first order was delivered at 1pm today [2days earlyer then expected] and there on the car [despite the 1st fiter refuseing to fit them as they were a diferant size to what was on the car] so had to go to my friend in blanchardstown @ pro-parts to get them fited :D

i would say the same.iv delt with eiretyres about 12 times and any time i mailed to cheek an order ect i got a responce within 24 hours.

the 2nd order of tyres went up in price the day after i ordered them and there on the way with out hassal,my thought is that eiretyres ran out of stock and when they had to order new stock the manafacture was chargesing more

We would like to inform you that the tyres have been dispatched today and should reach you by 15.12.20110. This is the the latest date you could possibly get the goods as they usually arrive 2 - 3 working days earlier.

We look further hearing of the safe arrival of the goods.
Please do not hesitate to get back to us in case we could provide further information.
    Kind regards"

as well as my invoice and tracking numbers etc.

Ordered 4 Nokian WR G2's from them for €58ea
Got the order receipt yesterday as soon as I ordered.
Today at 0930 I got the order confirmation and tracking numbers.
I think I have had pretty good service so far.
Camskill are good as well but they have no winter tyres at the moment.

Funny site Eiretyres, I think they use cookies to make the prices go up when you look too often.
I was looking at €80 per corner then after getting rid of the delticom cookies the price came up as €58 and a lot more choices of tyre.
    Weird

    Finally got through to them.
They tell me they haven't received any money from me at all..despite the 1500 missing from the account.

    Odd company.

More annoying than that is the fact they've just got Bridgestone blizzaks added in my size.
but oh no..let me order the Nokians first...

    F**ksake.
Ah well, I'm sure Nokians will be fine

I've given up on them - so i e mailed my brother who speaks german, hope to f'uck that works

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,724 ✭✭✭kennyb3

Got through again, by pressing one and not two. They said the tyres are in stock and its with their accounts department and they've sent an e mail to find out whats the hold up.

I rang BOI CC services, as I figured it might be to do with their site being down or something, but i made the order last friday. Anyway apparently nothing has been charged as yet, and nothing is pending. they confirmed my card was working fine and there was no issue.

So god knows what the hold up is and when i ll see the tyres, i thought id be looking at delivery today or tomorrow but they have even processed the bloody transaction yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,555 ✭✭✭✭Marlow

Well, my latest order from them arrived today as advised in in their order documentation, on time and in proper order. 7 days from order to delivery.

Okay, the latest is still no e mail reply but my bro who lives in austria and has fluent german rang them. Got speaking to a receptionist and then was put on hold for 20mins before he gave up.

His conclusion is that the tyres arent in stock and they are just waiting to get them back in (god knows when) before they charge my card. They are keeping me in the dark as they dont want to lose the sale. It seems to make sense.

Advice appreciated about how to proceed.

Part of me wants to try cancel the sale but 1) Its hard to get bloody hold of them and 2) I fear they ll charge me anyway like SV above and end up with 2 sets of tyres (assuming i buy them elsewhere).

Could just wait it out, but with the cold weather returning late next week, im in limbo. Could get them next week could get them June. Seems to be no way of finding out.

I had some problems getting in touch. What I did was ring after 6pm and
I gort straight through. For some reason as it was my first order they
would not accept a credit card and the account department was behind
in letting me know. Once I did a bank transfer I got a response email
with all the tracking info within 24 hours which is fast given I expected
the bank transfer to take that long alone.

I am in Germany at the moment and given the early cold snap there has
been a rush on tires so I guess they are playing catch up.

Tyres I ordered from Eyretyres two months ago arrived about 7-8 days after I ordered. They came from Germany via the UK and Athlone.

Similar tyres in March from Camskill arrived within 24 hours from the UK.

Online tracking showed a scan at the Oldbury hub in UK on the 12th at 17.49hrs, got call this morning from my local DPD depot that they had arrived.
I made several enquiries with Eiretyres by email, all were replied to within 24 hours. Only comment i would make is that there website would not accept our Irish VAT no. for no apearent reason.

Edit: I would check with DPD as I just checked my tracking no's and it still only shows the hub scan in Oldbury whilst they are on my car...
