There so expensive! Was thinking about getting one as an xmas present but i'm a bit put off by the price..

Question for anyone who has an iphone - would you recommend it??

Not me though - i love my iPhone - itlll be a loooooong time before i buy a different type of phone.

People were selling these out of a back of a van around the Durra Road outside Ennis last week for around e150. Not sure if they were genuine or not.

Iphone is great if you like touch screen phones. You either like touch screen or dont. I personally dont love them prefere qwerty keypad phones myself.

I have an iPhone 3Gs and I would definatly recommend it!

If you have Wi-Fi you can use the Internet and it's so good, you might as well be using a computer.

There's loads of brilliant things you can do on it, not to mention the apps!

As I said, I'd definatly recommend it:)

Check out android phones on chinavasion.com. Seriously. Before you buy anything. I bought my niece a phone last Christmas, wi-fi, bluetooth, tv and radio and mp4, dual sim etc. for around 90 euro incl. shipping. Would cost at least 200 here. Prices are in dollars so you get a nice surprise when you convert to euro's too.

lol. To all Android lovers. The Android is an obvious copy of the iPhone. And iOS, by far, the better OS. In fact the only reason Android would win anything ( which it might) is because Apple are reluctant to license, as usual. If iOS were licenced Android would be about 2% of th emarket. The great Asberger-syndromed unwashed would continue to love it, however, as it is more difficult to do simple stuff like change the backgroud picture, so it must be for "smart" people.

Ah sure what do I know. I've still got my old-ish sony ericsson phone. Camera is brilliant though. Can't be arsed with android or iphones meself. Social networking on the bus? A spirit level app? God knows how we survived this long without them.:rolleyes:

I bought an iPhone 3GS 32Gb the day it was released in Ireland and I haven't regretted it. At the time it was by far the best phone on the market and even today is a very good phone.

I will probably upgrade it next summer but this time I'm thinking of going for an android phone, for the same reason I choose a PC over a Mac, openness. The iPhone is too restricted, too closed. I want to do what I want with my smartphone not what apple will allow me.
