    Hi folks,
Greetings from the arctic circle....aka my house!! :D

My oil ran out yesterday - I got it filled today and now I can't get the boiler working.

I've read all the posts on here about bleeding and pressing the red button.
I reckon that I have pressed the red button at least 50 times this evening.
It goes through the motions....sounds like it might click in....then doesn't.

Any suggestions as to what I should do next???

My son has decamped to the neighbours to study......leaving yours truely to sort out the igloo!!!!

    Cheers.

    Its a Firebird outdoor boiler.
I've downloaded the boiler manual - but it may as well be written in Swahili!!!

I'll try to sort out a pic......but it will take me a while.

I dug out the camera to take a pic.....only to discover darling son has stolen the batteries!!!! Aaaagghhh!!!

Anyhow - thanks for the links.
The screw marked 'do not touch' is the one that I have touched!!!
So, I'm going to head back outside and try to remedy the situation.

Thanks so much for all the help.

I owe you all a huge 'Thank you' drink!! :D

Boiler is now back working - after all the excellent advice I got here.
The temp inside the house is now slowly creeping back to normal.

    Thank you all once again.
