The Drug Payment Scheme, it's €120 a month at the moment. It went up from €100 in the last budget so I'm hoping it doesn't jump again.

Yea, crap didnt even think of this. Should have renewed my prescription.

Hope they leave alcohol alone and petrol. Anything to do with the car to be honest.

    Ugh....

Well for me, they have upped it already.
They have announced the doubling of the carbon tax on all heating bills.

So as well at vat on such bills already (going to the state), they will also tax you again more so now with another higher addition on the same damn bill!

I don't want alcohol to go up :(

    Tax :D

I'm very wary of fuel increases, the country's just about banjaxed at the moment, adding cost to homes and business here will disable it completely disable it.

A review of the airport tax will be announced, which is expected to see it either reduced substantially or abolished.

Coke and hookers....Just thought I'd get the obligatory obligation out of the way.
Seriously though, agree with Drug payment scheme. They're already far to expensive as it is. I get cranky without my meds!:p

Then will you pay my mortgage for me?

I don't think I could take another increase in the price of DMT.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,618 ✭✭✭Mr Freeze

    TD's salaries

These are in for a minimal cut...and then they can probably make up the difference plus some in expenses.

I hope diesel doesn't go up, and I hope carbon tax doesn't either.

    Dole
    Child Benefit
    TD salaries
    Corporation Tax

ye know, those things that will screw up our economy/are too high to begin with.

And from a more selfish point of view:

    Alcohol
    Petrol
    VAT

It's inevitable the smokes are going to go up, but fortunately I took delivery of an electronic cigarette today :-)

been smoking for 25years, and on top of it beginning to catch up with me, i'm fed up being ripped off, and having to go outside to smoke, like a pox ridden leper with bubonic plague.

my motivation to give up, will be depriving that band of morons we call a government of all that tax revenue. better in my phoca than theirs.

I hope paye and prsi dont go up too much. The rest are all avoidable by not consuming them.

You must be able to buy loads on the average salary of $60,000 in that country.

    For myself, bus fares.

For the country as a whole, fuel costs, they drive everything else up (including bus fares, so yeah, just fuel costs.)

I think I could cope with PAYE/PRSI going up, at least you get your wages minus this and can budget accordingly. It's all the little stealth taxes that get me, like petrol, carbon taxes and the DPS. It's all very well saying everything but PAYE/PRSI are avoidable by not consuming, but i'd have a very long walk to work (45 km's each way!) if I didn't use my car. And don't fancy going without heating oil or medication either!

DPS and medical card levy. I do genuinely feel for people who struggle to pay them but it makes my work life pretty crap with all the snotty comments - umm sorry I didn't vote for FF

    LOL....poor bastards.

Thank myself I got out of there in time...I plan on throwing all my money into German or French banks! Ireland will leave the Euro currency soon! And your savings of one of the most powerful monies on Earth, the Euro, will be devalued into whatever crap we get next, a two-tier Euro currency or the Punt Nua...lolz!

Have a nice life everyone....and remember VOTE FINE GAEL AND LABOUR!

Putting the price of petrol and heating up won't help business and just takes money out of people's pockets. So noooooo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,659 ✭✭✭CrazyRabbit

PAYE.....the others will have practically no effect on me directly.

I also hope that part time workers like my Mum aren't too badly affected. She can barely cope as it is.
