Well, have you? And I mean deeply, endlessly and, ultimately, unreciprocatedly.

And if you did, how did you move on?

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm just posting in here because I love the song, and not because the girl I fancied when I was 11 eventually went out with my brother...

I think the song refers to someone you shouldnt have fallen in love with like your ma or da sis or bro :D.

I've fallen in love quite a few times.

I kinda presumed everyone would have had... but then again, the meaning of falling in love is quite a subjective thing, I suppose.

Yeah I have. I fall in head over heals, truely madly deeply, crazy in love way tooooo much!!
No happy ending yet. But in terms of how to move on??
It's not something you can choose to do I dont think. It just happens. One day you wake up and it hurts a little less. Then you know your going to be ok.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 111 ✭✭tricks

I don't really get attached easily, even being in a relationships for a year or so(not long I know) but I still never really cared that much.

Considering I see so many friends declare that they are in love and never want anybody else after being with people only a few weeks

I always fancy the wrong people though!

Yep, exact same. Considering I hate everyone, I feel like I love different girls every few months... but yeah, I get over it eventually

It can suck though, I do sometimes wish I didn't feel strongly for people, esp when you know you shouldn't have ANY feelings for whatever reason.

Yes I have and I shouldn't have , it wasn't planned and we cant help who with or when somebody comes into your life and makes such an impression that leaves you with such feelings ... it just happens .

What's the old sayin '' if you really love me you'll let me go ''

/ could never get my head around that one :pac:

I have indeed. With a girl, when I was in secondary school, who was in my Art class.

About ten years later now, haven't seen her in years and i still think about her a lot. Crippled any confidence i've ever had in myself and has led to me living in a little depressed bubble, void of much social contact, for many, many years.

I wouldn't post anything like that on the internet, though.

This song is from my 20s and interesting story , when I had first came across it last year on you tube one of the comments posted was by a guy who was one of the children singing with the ' haunting choir ' on the recording .So intrigued I sent him a notification asking him more and he gave a nice reply explaining that he was one of 20 kids from a church choir in New York choosen to sing on the recording and was now himself a session musician .:)

    Yes just the once.

Really fell for this girl but never made a move until it was too late, would take me nearly three years to make a move

And we really clicked, a work colleague once asked me if we were going out and told me that I should make a move because its obvious to everyone that she really likes you and that you click

No matter how bad things were outside of work, or if I was feeling down, as soon as I saw those beautiful eyes, everything was perfect, every moment in her company was heaven. I really loved going into work every day. I had never had a feeling like that before and never have since.

That day eventually came though that I knew would, she met someone else and ended up handing in her notice to move away to be with him.My heart really sunk that evening she told me she was leaving :( I did get to spend a night with her just before she left though :)

Still remember her leaving drinks and that last embrace with tears in her eyes and a tear in mine :o Work was never the same again :(

We stayed in touch for quite a few months, I really don't know how I got any work done, cause we were just constantly e-mailing. Events changed in my life and the e-mails became fewer and fewer and now none :( It is probably for the best though, I would still love to be friends though.

I will hear a song, and memories of her will come flooding back :( I even have a recurring dream about her, always the same, we are in the same room, but we never chat, she always ignores me :( actually had a dream about her last night, again the same, she doesn't talk to me, though she did put her arm around me and gave me such a warm smile, I woke up then, :(
