DO ye ever have those moments where you just can't remember doing something, and even though you probably did you panic, you absolutely freak out that you left the iron on, and the window open, and the wind might blow the curtain against the iron, and the house will burn down and you've none of your nice stuff with ya and what if the firemen see your dirty underwear on the ground and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!:(

I get really panicky after coming back from the bathroom, I'm afraid I didn't flush or something, to settle myself I have to go back and check, and then I feel like a right gimp:rolleyes:.

So what's ye're thing that ye're just uneasy about???

Did I bury that corpse deep enough so a passing dog won't smell it and dig it up?

    Don't you hate that feeling?

I think your 'Dirty underwear' would burn up if your iron situation ever came to pass.

Every morning when I leave the house (and I mean every morning) I get a moment of self doubt around 20 seconds later wondering did I lock the door.

I wear glasses, but not all the time - for things like driving and watching tv; so I end up losing my glasses all the time.

I walk round screaming if anyone's seen them...More often than not, they're on my head, hooked on the collar of my shirt/t-shirt, and sometimes... I'm wearing them :o

Last time I did that I had to go back into the house and discovered I'd left the iron on, and it was on top of my testicles.

There's nothing like that moment of blind panic when you, after a long and ****ty stressful day in work, you walk down to the carpark, rummaging in your pocket for your keys.

You retrieve keys from your pocket, but when you get to the carpark, YOUR CAR ISN'T THERE! WTF! WHERE THE FU....oh wait. Its in the other carpark/other side of carpark.

    :o

Someone took my space this morning.

My friend's mam is mad on that! My friend would be set for goin out, her mam would run through the checklist then, like "have ya you purse, are ya bringin a cardigan? have you your phone? did ya turn off the straightener? did ya plug out the straightener? are ya sure?"

And no matter how many times she says yes, the mother checks "just in case"!

    The straighteners
    The door
    The windows
    The patio door
Will one of the switches that I left on spontaneously catch fire and burn all my belongings and burn the house down?

Nah, should be grand. I once missed a train out to see my brother before he left the country to live abroad all because I thought I left my window open....on a Sunday(buses, trains and taxis were hard to get it was a match day too!)....One horrifically expensive taxi journey later I never made the train and had to get the bus out to the back of the beyonds.

iPhones are old hat now, they're been around for years. Android is the current craze.

At work I'm occasionally involved in operating a piece of equipment that would, if left in a certain operating mode overnight, cause the equipment to wreck itself and do substantial damage to the area around it and on the floor below. All told it'd probably cost the company in the region of €50,000 to fix. There's nothing quite like the sickening panicky feeling I get when I'm lying in bed at night and I suddenly wonder if I switched the equipment to the correct setting before I left work that day.

actually, in this thread about paranoia it would be a good place to ask this :

Do any of you ladies out there, when in the shower or bath or whatever, consider not shaving your legs, and then just think, OMG, what if I had an accident of some sort, and broke my leg, and the nurse/doctor was really hot, and saw my big hairy legs on me, MORTO!! SO ya feel compelled to shave:confused:??

Just throwin it out there ;)!

"did I lock the car? I've just put my pjs on now so I don't really want to go back out, but what if I didn't and someone broke in? Ok I'll just put my coat and slippers on and stick the key out the door close enough to test if the car is locked... oh it WAS locked, don't I feel thick :o"

Since then I have learned the best way to know you did something is to tell yourself 'i'm locking the car now'. Then you remember.

    Yes I am weird.

Always panic about the straighteners and front door too. For some strange reason I panic that I havent pulled up the handbreak in the car...never left it down so I don't know where panic has come from:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Just back from google.....

It probably me. To help the problem I started talking to myself when doing stuff I would forget and it would help me remember.
