I hope you're not trying to be sarcastic because I buy the woman in my life fat-burners every year. I usually get her a dishcloth and some fairy liquid too but may need to drop that this year with the recession.

They're selling some fat burner in Holland&Barrett that comes in a container shaped like a grenade. Buy that one.. because its awesome irrespective of the crap thats in it

Is it ethical to be recommending fat burners on this forum?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,691 ✭✭✭marathonic

and a half price sale too http://www.hollandandbarrett.ie/pages/product_detail.asp?PID=2441&CPID=2686&searchterm=grenade&rdcnt=1

i wonder whether, when I join a gym with a power rack, the packaging could be used as part of a cunning plan to secure the power rack when it's currently in use.

A friend recently bought some T5 Forza I think you call it. He swears by it but he's been doing a lot of training - the packaging warns you to do cardio because it, by itself, won't work. I think he may have upped his training in conjuction with taking these which is why he's lost so much weight.

Personally, I think that there's nothing that a fat burner will do that a caffeine tablet (or even a cup of coffee) and some cardio/weights won't do.

The problem I see with Fat Burners is when people think it's a miracle pill and they can just sit about taking them and lose weight.

I've ordered some No-Xplode from Holland and Barrett's half price sale this week. I'm not sure whether this was a good or bad idea but it's a lot better than fat burners because, with No-Xplode, there is the expectation of having a tough workout after taking it which, in itself, is a good thing. Also, even if the supplement is useless, it's the cheapest I've ever seen it in their sale at under 27 euro.

    Hydroxycut is very good IMO.

However as many people will say they are not magical pills, sort out diet and exercise and use them to give you an extra boost. You cant go and eat a mcdonalds 3 times a day and take fat burners and expect to be slim!

    trust me I tried :P

Are they not dangerous for your heart?

If they are sold online its hard to know what is in these tablets.

PS i know many people who have tried MZT meixitang slimming soft gels and lost a serious amount of weight. I know one girl and shes tiny now. I ended up buying them off amazon but I dont more research on them and seen that they contain Sibutramine (which is a drug that is banned in many countries because of increased risk of cardiovasular events like TIAs Strokes, and MIs) soooo i definitely am too scared to take them incase anything happened....

the smoking did NOT slow your metabolism down - lack of activity and eating more than you needed did that

mother of jasus - did you actually read that before typing and posting it?

Why do fat burner posts bring out the crazy talk?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 210 ✭✭eamo12

Appetite suppressants like proactol are supposed to be good. They are herbal pills, no medication.

It don't know whether its a warning or an advertisement. They act like an amphetamine, suggesting that stuff to lose weight you might as well suggest Lindsey Lohans Columbian diet.. If this was in N&D it would be locked

The vast majority of our medication is from "herbal" sources. Just cause its classed as herbal doesn't mean its safe or side effect free.

I used hot rox before and lost 20lbs........it also happened to be the exact same time that I went from 4L of milk a day to 0 so dont hold me to it!

no explode? I got recommended that before and foolishly bought it-what was worse was I used it after gasparis superpump which initially did blow the head off me in a good way. the only use that it could possibly have is if you have the urge to feel both queasy and conned it will def do that for ya-sorry

    ah here

    4l of milk = c2500 cals.

in one week, that equals 15,000 cals.

    Mathematically, 3500 cals in 1lb.

Sure, it was the diet pills ffs!!!
