Being Upside down and bloodshot eyes

I'm just wondering if someone could give me advice on something that happened today. I was doing some headstands, 3 x 30 second holds, and I noticed that when I came back down to my feet my eyes were bloodshot? My face wasn't overly red or anything, but my eyes looked watery and red.. a bit like after a heavy night of booze.

Is this something anyone else has encountered? I realise that the blood will obviously be going to my head, but I wasn't really expecting my eyes to be bloodshot.

This was the longest time to date that I've held a continuous headstand, so maybe that's a factor?

It's something you'll adapt to. I still get that after a max set of HSPU sometimes but not like I used to.

Weird, I must look to see if this happens me. It either doesn't happen or I don't notice it.
