I saw the heart rate monitor I've been looking at (Polar FT40) on www.heartratemonitor.co.uk for way way cheaper than any other site (weird colour, the normal ones are more expensive!). Just wondering if anyone has ordered from them before? Also if anyone has this hrm would they recommend it? Thanks!

Just did a search and came across this thread.

Did you go for it in the end from that supplier? Interested to hear how the transaction went and how you find the watch, if you did indeed purchase it.

Did both of ye go for the FT40?

Both find it worthwhile? Wondering do either of ye wish ye got a higher spec model, one with training programs etc?

Thanks for the heads up for fitnessdigital.ie too

I got the FT7 and it's great although i went for the "fat burn" feature but i probably should have got the FT4 as it's cheaper and i'm not fussed about the fat burn feature now i have it,
Mine came with the computer dock system free as well so i can chart my progress on my mac, it's very good and i'm 100% happy with it. :)

Also forgot to say that if you email them saying "a friend" bought one when they were on offer with the Paddy's day promotion and you wanted to know if there might be any discounts available they might give you a 5% off code, they did for me and it's worth asking.

You got the flow link for free? Well that was lucky!

You find using the online trainer more than sufficient? Looking at the FT60 just there and it has an inbuilt Star training system, but I would defo get the flow link as well whichever one I go for, wondering is it worth the extra cheddar

I got the RS300 x, mainly cos it has the stopwatch function which is handy. Got that flowlink thingy free with it as well.

I don't know really, I'm the type of guy who tries to buy the best i can afford but i would not have looked at the higher models here because it's easy to get carried away and i know that for me i would not have used all the extra features so no point paying for them.

My geeky side would want all the features, however many of them I'd actually use!

Did both of ye purchase when there was a special offer with the free flow links? Saving of €40 would be nice

No, there was no mention of it so was well chuffed to get it free,
when you go through the check out process it is put in your basket at the last minuet before you actually pay as a no charge item, cool or what.

Yea, there was a special offer, but the watch was the cheapest i could find online withe the quickest delivery. It actually shipped from spain and got to me quicker than another retailer in Dublin could promise!
