Dead pig all the way, with a fuckload of stuffing, mustard, cranberry sauce, roast spuds, gravy and plenty of red wine.
    Makes xmas slightly tolerable.

    Turkey. I don't like ham.

If I had to, I would go for turkey as it is much leaner and less salty than the ham but I don't really have the big Christmas meals, too much for my little stomach.

Ham. Turkey you can eat briefly at the start of dinner before instantly becoming bored with how bland it is. Ham goes on for days afterwards and never gets boring. Ham. To hell with Turkey.

I think we said beef anyway
Don't stick to any one thing

    Ham
Turkey doesn't have to be dry and bland. I've only ever helped to cook one, but we did our homework, got the cooking time exactly right, and it was gorgeous. It's just me this year, so a turkey would be too much, but next time I'd like to try brining it first: it's supposed to infuse more flavour and keep it juicy.

fcukin filthy pigs can snuffle around in their own sh!te for all i care but then you can't beat a good sausage.. when in germany

only bacon i eat is superquinn sausages so must go turkey.. just ensure there's more stuffing than turkey. which, ironically enough does be pork based.

I'd go with the ham. Just to give my Muslim friend an excuse to tell me the 100 reasons why pigs are filthy and evil. They're quite funny.

A nice steak, a bit of Bearnaise sauce, asparagus and a few roast potatoes. Turkey and ham are for traditionalists and the 'I remember when...' crowd.

    Ham
My perfect Christmas dinner is turkey, stuffing under it, thick rich gravy over the top, a few roasties & some brussel sprouts - par boiled, then fried in garlic & bacon fat - then smothered in bread sauce, all washed down with a nice pinot grigiot.

    Nyom.

    Mmm. Fried cabbage is delicious.

So are sprouts fried.. if they're just lightly parboiled, they keep their flavour really well - a slightly nutty taste that usually gets lost when people boil the bejaysus out of them.

Oh & if you don't have any bacon fat, you can fry them up with a few chopped up rashers... equally as tasty.

Ham, turkey is nice at Christmas but the ham saves the dinner every year. The turkey can be as bad as it likes because big lump of ham is there to make everything perfect.

if for some perverse reason I can't have both it's got to be the ham. Good ham is one of my favourite foods.

But ideally I want ham and turkey with sausage stuffing. And loads and loads of lightly cooked sprouts.
