Few questions! Currently in LA fitness, anyone switched already. I haven't got a chance to check it out what are the weights room like / compare. Does it have a similar selection of weight lifting machines too? Not just free weights. Other facilities treadmill etc.?

Also how busy does it be esp the pool since its public? Is the gym public too? Most members or public?

Obviously the gym is quite a bit cheaper so I'm considering switching paying €45 a month at a student rate at the moment. So if the new gym is good I'll probably switch. Any thoughts, comments? All help appreciated!

I had a look around the place the week it opened and was pretty impressed with the place. That said, the pool was busy with kids milling around all over (on a Saturday afternoon) so if you're planning to do laps, it might want to be early morning/late evening. I would ask them if they rope a lane off or have adults only after a certain time.

I'd say just go in there and ask them to see what they have and they'll gladly show you. Maybe go at a busy time to get a proper idea of it. It's nice that since it's public you can probably pay as you go rather than have a contract.
