I used a bike initially to lose a lot of weightand develop my cardio. Also bought from Argos

Good points are it's in your home and you can watch tv while your peddling away.

ensure the saddle is really comfy. women have a wider hip bone structure than men and even the bike I have my wife finds uncomfortable after a while even though it's fairly big by my standrds!

You should be able to do on line checks of any model you think is suitable. Ultimatley hard to tell though until you try!

    Advertising Much?!

Make sure whatever you buy is very sturdy, nothing worse than a wobbly bike.

I know the weather is againt you lately, but an actual bike would be better imo, much more interesting cycling around outside.

I decided to rent out an exerise bike and I have rarely used it. I find I can't sit on the saddle long enough to get any benefit from it.. so I stick on an exercise DVD instead.

Go on donedeal, gumtree, ebay..etc.. loads of second hand backs available there...
