Protein Shakes - Holland And Barrett

A few days ago, it was half price instead of buy one get one for 1 cent. The pricing is still half price and they charge the full listed price (which is half price) if you add two.

Therefore, although the add says buy one, get one for 1 cent, it's really a half price sale according to the prices.

That being said, the following is what I ordered:

BSN - No Xplode http://www.hollandandbarrett.ie/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=2554&prodid=2827&searchterm=xplode&rdcnt=1 - €26.72 is the cheapest I've ever seen it for (even in the UK). It's supposed to be a good pre-workout supplement.

Omega 3 Triple Strength Fish Oil Capsules http://www.hollandandbarrett.ie/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=1108&prodid=1071 - These are the strong ones with a high EPA/DHA concentration (so you only have to take one a day).

In buying the two items above, you get free delivery. A bargain in my opinion.

For protein, I'd go for myProtein before Holland and Barrett... http://www.myprotein.com/ie/products/impact-whey-protein.... a 5kg bag of this comes to €47.99 and free strawberry flavouring. I currently have flavoured but will buy unflavoured next time so I can mix it with a sports drink and creatine. myProtein is 82% protein whilst Holland and Barretts is 72% protein (and more expensive per serving). The 5kg pack has 200 servings

Sorry this might be a stupid question but which is the protein product you talk about on the H&B site. They all look like they are protein.

Main hope is for building muscle, performance etc, I'll be on a low carb diet for the beginning.

I was talking about the one that was their best-selling. The USN protein mentioned above is about 71% protein. The myProtein stuff is better quality but either will aid in building muscle. The 5KG stuff is good value with the free flavouring. The question is, would you want to buy 200 servings of protein (as long as you're confident you'll stick at it, you should consider it). Delivery at myProtein is €4.95 making it €32.94 for 2.5kg or an extra €20 for 5kg (+ free flavouring).

Creatine Monohydrate at myProtein is €16.89 plus delivery for 1kg (also 200 servings).

You won't go far wrong with either. Personally, my next order will be from myProtein and will be the above two items.
