hi all, am doing some research at the moment on women returning to work after a period of time (maybe family, being made redundant etc). Have you any thoughts on what women would need to do this? i.e. support etc, & what, if anything, could local businesses do to support this.

    Thanks!

What difference does it make from a man returning to work?

The difference is the project is on Women returning to work, hence she posted in TLL. Sheesh

Given that far more women end up leaving the labour force for long periods because of issues like childcare etc it's quiet a legitimate topic to be covering.

Childcare will be an issue for parents especially if the children are young. Also flexible working hours/options to work from home.

Childcare and picking and dropping from school are the main issues. Schoolbuses need to be cheaper and more available

Sorry, The Ladies Lounge is not a forum to be used for doing research/surveys etc. Not from a one post new user who it appears just signed up for that. Thread closed

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
