No I dont get paper bills anymore. I get a text message with the amount of the bill and if I want to see the details I have a login on the UPC website which allows me to check the bill.

What exactly do you have with UPC? For that amount Id expect you to have everything (Max HD w/Sky Sports, Movies, Disney etc), an extra box or two and 30MB broadband...

Hey Thanks for your reply,no i only have what i said, internet connection, normal channels and sky premiere.Nothing else on top of it.I am getting that bill monthly now aswell when i only got it every 2 months for that price before. No sports no extra box.

Do they send you them texts every month and charge you every month?

Clarify what you mean by normal channels, and Sky premier, please. What does it say on your bill? What speed is your broadband connecton? Did you ring 1908?

    Too little information being given.

Has anyhing changed in your situation, e.g. have you added a new product, etc?

This sounds seriously wrong. Can you show what's in your bill?

Sounds like a big mistake made somewhere at UPC, sounds shocking high. Am on the following for €77/month...
    • − Go Digital Max Pack (2nd box in package is a Digital Video Recording HD)
    • − Fibre Power Broadband 15Mb.
    Hope you get in sorted!!

Yes, it's for all TV station's (Sports + movies) with HD, free calls, 15mb BB & two additional Digi Boxes.

Similar packeage in SKY would cost me €108 and that without Phone & BB & 1 less Digi Box.

    SUBSCRIPTIONS
Monthly Sky TV Subscription: TV Packs
    Variety Pack
    Knowledge Pack
    Music Pack
    News & Events Pack
    Style & Culture Pack
    Children's Pack
    Sky Sports 1
    Sky Sports 2
    Sky Movies 1
    Sky Movies 2
    ESPN
    HD Pack

I actually find UPC to be much better value than SKY, when I compare packages. SKY is only €13.54 less then UPC and you get far less.

I think it's good value when you compare it to SKY & having to also add on the cost of Phone & BB with another company.

Post up exactly what your last bill says, line for line, and we can tell you where the problem lies.

I guess when you are in need of a phone.

Do you download a lot? They maybe charging you for going over their limit or they may have bumped you up to the Broadband extreme package. I pay €80 a month for broadband and 25 for digital value tv. Used to be 48 for broadband when I joined

Do you have wireless and is it secured? someone outside could be using it and using up your limit

Think I signed up with an account number on one of the few bills I got.

No idea so without looking at bill with each item shown. That's how i seen something had changed (upped to extreme package in my case)

I registered the other day; go to https://service.upc.ie/cckservices/myupc/register/ and stick in your details, its pretty quick. You should be able to view your bill then.

OP, you might try a more descriptive title for your next thread. Nearly every thread in this forum is somehow connective with UPC.

As far as I'm aware there are no upload or Download limits with UPC, so this how much you used the Internet should not be a factor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Mountjoy Mugger

    Combined upload/download cap is 250GB.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,181 ✭✭✭ronkmonster

And it's 120GB for the 8 meg broadband.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,632 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

Would be interested in seeing what you are getting for that amount each month?

Not usre if UPC website was just updated but it now states that there is now useage limit on 15 or 30mb but the 120gb usage is still applicable to 8mb,

It always said unlimited. It isn't though. It's 250Gb and if you continually go over they bump you up.

Its probably one of those ridiculous "unlimited" packages limited by a fair usage policy or something. How companies get away with advertising something as unlimited when there is a limit on it is beyond me; its not just UPC that do this (if that is in fact what UPC do).

They do. I'm on their hidden Extreme package because I download so much.
I think they enforcing it more now too
