    13 stone.
    5'11"
BMI 25.5 although I'm just outside the "normal" category I don't feel it.

My diet is still pretty shít, and I know it, but it's definitely alot better than it used to be. I've cut sugar out of my tea (don't have many normally, 1 a day or less), cut out 90% of fizzy drinks and any I do have are diet . Takeaways are usually limited to once a week, at the weekend when I go home.

    Typical day :
    9:00 - 2/3x Weetabix, 200ml low-fat milk, 1 small tsb sugar. Apple / orange.
1:00 - Small bowl pasta with bolognese sauce, maybe a grilled rasher cut into it. Apple / orange
6:00 - Dinners usually consist of Spaghetti Bolognese / Sheperd's Pie / Chicken Curry / Oven cooked pork etc. Usually have a heap of frozen peas / sweetcorn, with carrots. Portion size is a problem I've to work on.
9:00 - McCambridge's wholemeal brown bread 2x small slices, scrape of butter. Tea with 1x sugar, apple / orange.

I know it's not great >.< but as I said before it's a whole heap better than what I lived off last year (pizzas, takeaways, pot noodle.. typical shít diet).

I'm just wondering what could I do to improve it? I've a fair idea of what I need to do. I've read the stickies already, so please don't recommend it. If anyone would have a link to any easy (remember I'm a student :D) recipies I'd really appreciate it. :)

    Hiya!!

Honestly, its not the worst food diary Ive seen on here and you really are probably only looking to lose a stone max so id advise this

    1) Get rid of the sugar. Replace it with Xyitol, available in health stores in a bag like sugar or in little sachets. Natural and low carb and much better for you than regular sugar and you wont even notice the difference.

    2) Eat protein with every meal. Like for brekkie, maybe hard boil some eggs the previous night and have one or two of them with 2 weetabix. Or make a nice big bowl of scrambled eggs with ham and a bit of cheese
Hang onto the apple/orange til mid morning and have 4 or 5 nuts with it. You will feel good and satisfied then and not starved til lunch

    3) Pasta and spaghetti is a fairly sugary carb and a big portion can lead to you not losing weight if all other areas are good. So just watch that

    4) For night-time, personally i wouildnt be having bread. Id have a nice rich greek yogurt with a bt f fruit or something.

    5) Lift heavy weights a few times a week.

All small changes but so long as you are being honest with yourself about everything else then these should aid you.
