Exercise bike / burning upper body fat

Hello i'm currently trying to lose the last 2 - 2.5 stone, and in particular the stubborn fat in the upper body area. I am considering doing an hour on an exercise bike everyday to burn about 700 calories and am curious as to how effective it is with regard to burning upper body fat.

Do exercise bikes burn fat all over, or do they just concentrate on individual parts of the body such as the legs etc.

it comes off from everywhere, although everybody has predisposed areas where they will tend to gain and lose fat from due to their genetics etc

You cannot burn fat/calories from one specific area of your body.

If you are looking to lose fat my advice to you would be to eat at a calorie deficit. You could also lift free weights concentrating primarily on compound movements so that your body has a better shape/definition and also maybe do some cardio like cycling.

Have a read of the Fitness Basics sticky also.
