Thats the thing about this game....the rank means not that much. I am an average player at best and now 2nd Prestige. Trust me just learn the maps and adjust your play to the map and you will get points like MENTAL.

Probably need to stop playing TDM but rather play objective games in a party than on my own what with the amount of K/D whores out there who refuse to play the objective whatsoever.

I only play TDM for this reason alone. I have stopped playing objective games completely in BOPS, where as i would have mixed it up in MW1 and 2.

Funny i was going to start a thread about this today.

Anywho not really sure how i'm doing in the grand scale so I'm relying on you guy's to tell me( go easy)
24 hrs in, level 45 K/D 1.06
Couple of things to clarify.
1. I almost exclusively play Free for all ( i'm thinking i can rack up points quicker in other game modes)
2. I have only been using the M16/Ballistic knife/tomahawk as I'm trying to max out the challenges.( i nearly cried last night when i got 2000 kills with M16 and it then told me i needed another 500! kills):(

I guess pretty average. Some games i have been top of the pile with 30/9 30/12 kd and sometimes i have a complete mare of a game and just die all the time. Last week springs to mind 12/28 :eek: I can't erase it from my mind!

I absolutely fkn agree The only way I will prestige is through drunken error or if I get bored with the game.

Yep I mixed it up in both MW games(especially COD4).

Used to play Sabotage religiously be it on my own or in a party. For the vast majority of time I'd play the objective even on my own and even by doing that I could still drag games into sudden death thus more points thus prestiging quicker.

COD4 I think I reached 10th prestige in just over 10 days through mainly playing HQ and Sabotage!

I won't prestige anymore because I want to unlock all these pro perks everybody seems to have done. I use the same regular classes for the most part and while I do very well with them it's a bit dull just using the same 3-5 perks over and over again. Though Xmas time or a Double XP I might prestige one more time at least.

Level 39, didnt prestige and wont either, dont see he point of it. I suppose if i get ridiculously bored then i might, but i dont play it enough to get bored.

Was really excited recently as i unlocked my beloved Ak47, a gun which i completely dominated COD4 with. I was so disappointed, as a guy who must use a suppressor this gun is useless with it, so back to AUG/Famas.

All i play is TDM, unless my friends are on and we play HQ or i join a FFA game with them, but other than that there is no incentive to play objective games, like some guys already said, people dont give a damn about the objective instead rather rack up kills. Im always the only guy trying to play the game while the rest of my team is on the opposite side of the map looking for kills, bastardos. Very Frustrating because when you do play as a team in these games it can be so much fun.

Don't think I'll bother me hole prestiging. Takes too much time when you aren't playing the objective based games.

All the more reason to get on boards server (PC) and play with the regulars and do the bizzo...Spearman and I playing the CTF mode practically won the rounds on our own.....easy with back up and an IQ higher then a budgie!

Don't see how the objective gametypes are different from MW2 so far (If everyone's saying nobody goes for the objectives) I never played MW1 online much, so MW2 was my first CoD online.. Sabotage and HQ p!ssed me off in that so much though, because I found people didn't care about the objective. Haven't tried looking for any objective games in Blops yet because of this.

IDD, if your like me and actually like to win objective games... you can say bye bye to your K/D because you'll probably be the only one trying to cap flags, really hard to keep and good K/D unless all you do is TDM i think or play in a group. Pretty much why i dont rate K/D.

I play mostly domination and have a Win ratio of ~2.5. Nearly all the time i have the most captures from my team and i still keep my KDR. So it's not too impossible to go for objectives and keep your KDR

And you play by yourself ? I'd like to see proof of this, i seriously doubt you'd have a 2.5k/d and W/L ratio playing domination by yourself. because 9/10 i end up with complete retards in my team with me being the only one going for flags and usually running into half the other team camping around it like bear gyrlls. I still manage 1.5-2.0.. but then again i'll 9/10 times get 40+ kills aswel, i just die alot while capping.

Unless your on the PC.. i always found it alot easier to dominate public servers on the PC just because of how big the skillgap can be on it.

It's pity they don't let you take screen shots of your combat record. I have a capture card i haven't been bothered to set up yet, think i will. But that's all on xbox, haven't gotten it for PC yet. Yeah there's still the odd time where you get retards on your team but unless i join mid game i can usually sway that.

Not fussed about K/D ratio man, you should know that by now At least in regards to previous COD games where it comprised of all game types.

I'm cuffed they have a general K/D and a TDM K/D in BO. I keep an eye on my K/D in TDM to an extent. But your right K/D goes out the window in objective gameplay. I'm just tired of playing with morons who refuse to do as I do and prioritize the plant the bomb/capping flag first and foremost. Having a poor K/D means nothing to me if you can properly contribute. If doing neither which is the norm for most players, I get a tad frustrated to say the least.

Like accuracy.. anyone thats ever played cs will understand... theres a time for being accurate and theres a time for spraying like a mother****er... wallbanging is great craic too.

K/D... its handy for TDM, as long as you're Kills per minute is high aswel, anyone can camp to 15-0... getting 40-10 is far more impressive imo.

W/L isnt a great messure of skill either, if im playing with a full group... i could go 10+ wins to every loss... playing on your own, its alot harder unless its just FFA or something.

Im not saying you dont have those stats, i just find it hard to believe that you have them by playing by yourself. I'd say im on par with pretty much anyone on these forums in objective games and 90% of my games so far in blops have been on my own because of how awful the party system has been on the ps3.

I cant imagine you having that much more of an impact that you can get a 1.2 higher W/L ratio and still have a 2.7 K/D. My Score Per Minute is 283.71. Especially on the Xbox where apparently there are far more good players


The leaderboards in general are ****ed, look at the top guys in domination, half of them are in boosting lobbies, its a ****ing joke. guys with 8.0 K/D's and 60% accuracy with the AK74u...
