For those of you lucky enough to have a job, what are the perks of your place?

I have a a few little ones... Dotted all around the office are sweet stands filled with pretty much anything you can think of and beside each is a fridge with water, sparkling water, cans and bottles of coke, fanta and sprite.

Free use of a mini gym upstairs.

Get a 5 piece meal for €.10c per day (Mon-Fri only)

The only reason we are charged is something to do with Benefits in Kind.

The last thing is a work life balance, we get €850 per year to spend on stuff such as subscriptions or membership to a club/gym etc.

Any of ye got any good ones?

Not having a pop but do you work in a bank by any chance? Serious question. I worked for BOI a few years ago and sounds similar. Not sure if they still do it now.

ability to organise access to concerts/sports events - even when sold out !!

access to famous people (Actors, bands, models...even political figures etc) - and be photographed with them.

so far best day of my life was the 15-20mins that I was in the company of Nelson Mandela and Arnold Swarzenegger, Bill Clinton is another person I enjoyed being in the company of..... Anna Kornikova (nice girl - skin is very blotchy).

    I work as a photographer !

(it also has a downside - but this thread is about perks !!)

    1. wetser

an attractive female who instiges sexual arousal of the male usually through the wearing of provocative attire, or merely by having an amazing rack/arse. To call a girl a wetser is an act of great affection and admiration for the wetser in question.
hey man check out that wetser over there, nearly creamed myself looking at her ass in those tight jeans.

Odd. I have an IT job and it's what I do too...

My other career in the Army allows a lot of travel. Plus, military discounts, free upgrades to First Class sometimes, occasionally people will buy me dinner or drinks. And women throw themselves at the Dress Blue uniform.

Lets see, Google, Facebook, one of the online poker companys based around Dublin, Blizzard in Cork or a select few unionised bank premises.

Give Google or Facebook a few more years and they will offer none of the above as they will have to start maximising profits for the shareholders who only care about the short-term. The poker company's as well. The unionised company's will die out eventually because you can't keep those expenses and remain competitive.

Enjoy it while you can. I truly envy you.

Discounts at many shops, i like that we have a shower for staff use (especially if I am after coming off a run and need a wash before work :o) admin nearly always brings in food or goodies of some sort to share, free use of the city gym/weight lifting room. they done away with employee of the month but are bringing in something else soon. Most important in the US of A, benefits!
