What country is everyone emigrating to? I'll probably be going to the UK in the new year.

I'm not emigrating. But I'll happily pay for anyone's ticket if it will stop them posting depressing threads in AH.

Do you know what you will do for us?

Post a thread about it when your gone. Don't post about it now when you 'probably' will be going in the New Year.

Oh yeah & have a skim through the rest of the threads started today, most likely you will find about three other threads the very same.

They actually love when an Irish person sings 'Come out ye Black & Tans'.
Hit them with a few bars of that & you'll fit in nicely.

nah they like us, but AH threads on people coming to Ireland always say that people need to integrate fully into Irish culture etc ;)

If only everyone would turn the determination that they have to leave into actaully digging us out of this hole, maybe we'd have a chance. But no, everyone jumps ship when the tough times hit us - even though a lot of them have helped cause this mess. It's a typical Irish attitude.

    that's a bit mean!
In fairness the government are the ones who screwed up. The amount of money they wasted is quite amazing.

Looking back at it now, maybe I was a bit harsh. S***ty day I suppose...

But even so the government can't be blamed for everything. People were quick enough to gobble up 100% mortages, etc.

Thats lies.... plenty of work in Australia if you got a visa, getting the visa is the hard bit.

Aussies have always looked after their own.... that is where Ireland went wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,758 ✭✭✭✭TeddyTedson

It's annoying. Just because i'm born on this island shouldn't mean I can't live and work where ever I want. I should be able to go to the usa if I want. Shouldn't be allowed keep people out!!

what kind of moron would you have to be to forsake your future to stay in a collapsing country out of some misguided loyalty?

No, we just didn't vote for clowns to run the country into the ground, we seem to have a government with management skills unlike Ireland.

Better get in quick as Australia is going to hang up the "piss-off, we're full" sign after Christmas.
