what counties will be unveiling new jerseys for 2011??
    Have any been unveiled yet?

i presume Longford will be changing anyway as thev had the same jersey for the past 3/4 years.

They don't wear any jerseys whatsoever for League and O'Byrne Cup matches then at all...

I reckon both Tipp and Kilkenny are due a change. Tipps current number came out in 2008 and Kilkennys in 2007

The gay attendance would go through the roof for matches and will make a respectable attendance, which will be a welcome change for Longford :pac:

I see that the 2 stripes instead of 3 is on the O'Neills store. Adidas must of put a stop to it.

Ah i think they are just a version of the normal template which they can sell internationally.

    You're right, TG.

New Kilkenny jersey - only differences I can see is no logos on sleeve and O'Neills logo in different colours

    Here is Limericks new one

    http://www.oneills.com/productdetails/1281/limerick-gaa-home-jersey-2011.aspx

    I like it!

Nice I think, seems that O'Neills are going back to keeping things simple, unlike some efforts in recent years that had go faster stripes with bells hanging off them!

Hopefully Mayo are getting a new one, i know they've only had this one for 2 years but isn't all that great and has brought us no luck whatsoever (then again what jersey has)...would love to see a Mayo one like the one in the late 70's/early 80's with the crest on a white background, that or something like the one they wore in 89...delicious :P

very very nice effort indeed. i had forgotten limerick had done their 3 year cycle. love the new embroidered crests

Unless Mayo change shirt sponsor they will have one more year left of the cycle id imagine.

    So the already changed
    1. Kilkenny *changed used very loosely
    2. Limerick

    Still to change
    1. Tipperary
    2. Longford
    3. Galway football

Rumours of a new Tipp shirt on the way with a new sponsor. Anyone else hear this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 753 ✭✭✭denishurley

I'd have imagined that Tipp would be bringing out a new kit alright, hadn't heard anything about a sponsor though.

New Limerick change is apparently a blue version of the home, though with three white stripes down the sleeves

You mean the one they wont wear yet again against Kerry next year? :)

Or wait and see they'll both turn up in blue....Just you wait :pac:

Sounds like a nice shirt though.

Wouldn't be surprised if they both had their change jerseys on, though it'd be less of a clash as Kerry's is like a pair of lay 'black' socks - very very very dark blue!

Ah good old Ted :).... perhaps 'habit-hat' will break into the kit manufacturing market. never buy socks in a non priests shop, they shaft you every time.

Cavan are another team who has finished their 3 year cycle this year

EDIT: and Carlow have had that template for 3 years albeit with the old style badge in 08.

hmm...Interesting change from Cavan with the incorporation of the navy sleeves.

edit: ive added list of who is due a change and who isnt

    New Cavan jersey is awesome.

Are the dubs sticking with the same jersey this year?

Only right too considering the last arnotts one lasted only a year plus its a beaut.

Jerseys in general seem to be going very retro lately. Limericks one for example looks an updated 70s jersey. Not complaining a lot of them look class!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 753 ✭✭✭denishurley

Louth have a new crest for 2011, though still the same jersey

Slightly O/T but are all counties gone for these "sperrin" shorts? The ones with 3 stripes and the crest on the front of your quad? Because personally i think they look ****! And still no new Jersey for Longford :(

Carlow introduced a new badge a year or two ago. Definitely not still wearing the old 08 version.

Being a pedant I know but under GAA rules both teams have to change their kits in the event of a colour clash. Why should Limerick be forced to change if Kerry refuse also.

    Yeah, cutbacks from O'Neills presumably

Don't get me wrong i'm not putting all the blame on Limerick's door but the GAA should really step in and tell them both cop on or perhaps have a home and away rule and rotation from then on afterwards.

i also think if lets say Tipp play Roscommon in football then both should retain 1st choice tops but Tipp should have royal shorts and socks and Roscommon should have all primrose with blue trim.

Give me the aul minimalist approach any day of the week. :)

On Longford there could be sponsorship negotiations ongoing like ourselves. Galway football have no sponsor at present as such but continue to have Aer Arann on display in the interim.

Have to say im loving the way we have 'Tiobraid Arann' on the shirt at the moment. Absolutely lovely.

Loving the new Louth Crest Denis. Reminds me of an old RTÉ logo. that Boyne bridge one was too cluttered and now that the identically designed, but even bigger Suir bridge is in place it just seems pointless to incorporate it.

My criticism of a lot of these badges is that they are too cluttered and then you have arty-farty ones like Kilkenny and 'the Scallion 'Aters which tells us nothing about the county.

Thank God the kit designers are moving away from having the crest and county name on the front, the back and on both sleeves. How ridiculous was that?

Will Dublin be changing their jersey again in 2012 or will they keep the same one three years in a row?

I think Dublin will hold on to the present beaut at least til 2012. Like John Devlin i'm a sucker for the minimalist approach :)

O'Neills have released the Cork All-Ireland Final jersey for sale. Originally it was only to be worn for the Final and not released for general sale:

Enfer are staying with Tipp for one more year, so id say the current template will be kept until 2012. I could be wrong :)

EDIT: I would love if Tipp's new shirt was a throwback to 87 like one Richie Stakelum is wearing.

Annoyingly, that Cork jersey is not exactly the same as the one worn in the final, which had the GAA logo in red and red cuffs as well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 753 ✭✭✭denishurley

Oh and surely Waterford v Dublin should be regarded as a colour clash, especially in bright weather?
