Would you guys be up for a random thread for those bad beat seven straight loss days alongside, rar just won 5 in a row ones. A relaxed thread for banter and bitching and gloating.

Mainly suggesting this due to my sleep difficulties meaning I'm playing when everyone else is sleeping so IRC isn't an option.

My 2 teens play L4D. They refuse to play with randomers due to the lack of online team play. Isn't that the whole point of the game?
They also lose their temper with Halo:Reach very often, random little ****s who join a capture the flag team game and then camp in their own base,even when THEY are the attackers! Then there is the old Battlefield Vietnam curse of the 12 year old who team kills you as you got into his hornet (sub tank/chopper in BF:V)

Anyone notice the ladder gets harder during the weekend? Maybe it's just me, but during the weekdays I build up a great batch of victories, my win/loss ratio stretches out, and then Bahm! I play a games at the weekend & suddenly I lose about 10 games in a row (this has happened). Back to square one and that promotion to Gold hits another setback.

As for other games, I find TF2 is a fairly friendly community & even on Public servers people generally play by the rules & attempt to act like teams.

gotta remember a lot of players would be school goer's / college students who would only get a chance to play weekends etc.

well, i had horrible day gaming wise, i played some black ops, and in search and destroy got rapped worse, then a white guy by 5 black pornstars.

so i went on sc2, as i was prety pissed off. lost 2 games in a row, first really stupidly, something i knew can bite me in the arse after, and i didnt fixed, wich ofc bited me really badly... second game was pvp, and i just got raped, as my micro slipped so freaking idiotic, i was spaming S instead of A...

i rage quited slamed my mice up the table. good thing no cups were on table or they would be in pieces lol.

so i just went off pc, washed my car, vacumed, polished panels... made me happy panda... then a game vs friend 2:0 i won.

now i am again ready for my dose of cod/sc2... damn junkies life is hard...

Anyone paly Black Ops yet?

My 2 lads are wary as they got pissed off with Modern Warfare 2 imbalances. Was talking to them about getting it as an early christmas pressie. Personally I think I will like the 1970's feel of it, am still a fan of BF:Vietnam.

(Back in the day my gaming groups LANs consisted of Starcraft, BF:V, Quake)

Incidently I played a surreal SC2 game last week.
Using Skype we set up a 4v4 against the AI. 4 of us playing, 1 in Dublin, 1 in Limerick, 1 in NYC(work trip), 1 in LA(lives there,got posted the Euro version)

I get this really bizarre problem when im playing with friends over vent. I cant hear what theyre saying at all, then suddenly everything they said over the space of 20 mins or so all comes out one after another. Its really weird

using win7? go to vent settings, on voice tab, go and mark to use direct sound on input and output.

it does in deed fix the problem. well it did for me anyway a few weeks ago when i found vent existed

on a better note, ive spent the last 6 hours cleaning and upgrading my computer.

i also encrypted my entire harddrive collection, which is about 13TB at this stage....

i love how encrypting an operating system works delighted!

Agree with Grime.

For a stint before working full time I was playing pretty hard during the mornings and afternoons, raking up huge wins.

In the evening I just went to play other games with friends when they were home.

But now that I'm playing more during the weekends and evenings, I can see the pool of players is a hell of a lot tougher.

Havnt played over the weekend so hopefully can get about 20-30 games in this week on the evenings, working till the 10pm shift

Enjoying protoss play so far, diverse race that I find easier to be more aggresive with then Terran .

Installed WoW yesterday. Logged in after not playing for 16 months or so. Spent some time speccing UI and crap. Spoke to some friends all the while with faint sense of unease.

Not sure if I can be bothered with it anymore UI, speccing, gemming min maxing etc just felt like work straight away again

Lost my first bsl match last night, got too aggressive and shields ****ed me up, good play by my opponent.

and then this morning lost 3 1v1's in a row, not a happy starcraft bunny. Going to take so long to learn Protoss play, strengths and weaknesses before I see those 100 wins. My ladder position and possibly league are going to take a massive hit. But sure o well, I hope to get 100 wins with each race then Random that **** up
