Any of the Godfathers. Scarface. Most gangster related movies. Inception. Probably soo much more. There are ones that I can think of off the top of my head. Don't really want to see most of them either :P

Ditto for Avatar - felt no need to see it frankly. There seems to be a big Horror following in Ireland (and here), but they usually leave me cold, and I haven't bothered to keep up with e.g. Scream.

I am missing some highly-revered classics, such as One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, 12 Angry Men, the Clint Eastwood "Man With No Name" spaghetti western trilogy, Roman Holiday, etc.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Gone With The Wind, I've tried, lord I've tried to watch it, but its sooooo freakin dull!

A few David Lynch movies, Blue Velvet being the main one, I'm not a fan of Lynch though, I like his not so mental stuff like Straight Story and Elephant Man, but not so much the Eraserhead type stuff, buts not because I dont have any intention of watching it, just havent gotten round to it yet.

I dont get this "oh I'd never watch that kind of film" snobbery about movies, I'll give anything a watch, you could be really surprised about how good a kids animated movie can be or some little known romantic comedy.

All the Harry Potters, Scarface, Schindler's List....The last two are on my to watch list but I don't think I'll be going near the HP movies.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,295 ✭✭✭✭Duggy747

Twilight, The Notebook, Harry Potter, The Sixth Sense (not entirely, I know how it ends anyways :pac:), In Bruges.............can't think of any more at the mo'

I watch anything undiscriminatly except Twilight or The Notebook, just can't hack those sentimental, tug-at-your-heartstrings movies..........make me wanna vomit :pac:

The rest are just films I've never gotten around to seeing, yet.

Braveheart, Gladiator, any of the Star Wars, Godfathers, Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs...(any Tarantino film actually). Just haven't gotten round to them yet!

Gladiator, Sixth Sense, any of the Star Wars, Jaws, Forrest Gump, The Goonies, Gremlins, Pulp Fiction, the Usual Suspects, Seven, Goodfellas, any of the Godfather films, the list could actually go on! I don't like gory or bloody films so it rules a lot out unfortunatley even though I know some of these films are ment to be class!

In general, any movie that's considered a "classic" and was created before 1970....I probably haven't seen it. Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, etc etc.

Haven't seen most musicals. Either in film or theatre format.

Haven't seen any of the Harry Potters, the twilights or the Godfathers...

Hadn't seen "It's a wonderful life" until last Christmas. Not a bad movie actually.

I avoid the dross such as Twilight and Harry Potter so don't want to and never will watch them.

I think Goodfellas is a great movie which begs the question why I've never seen the Godfather trilogy.

Tried to watch Gone with the Wind years ago but fell asleep as "frankly I couldn't give a damn" about the movie :P

Never seen Lawrence of Arabia but will some day.

Never seen 2001 or 2010 but I've heard the first one is a bit weird and existential so I wouldn't be too bothered watching it.

Generally I watch what appeals to me and not what everyone else wants to watch so that also leaves out all chick flicks and rom coms too.

Know what you mean here. I've never seen Lawrence of Arabia, Gone with the Wind, Spartacus, Cleopatra or Citizen Kane. Some day I might but they are so God damn long and I just dont have the patience to sit down and watch them. 2001 Space Odyssey has its moments but it can be very tedious and boring. Think a more boring version of "Moon" and you have it. Btw Moon is a decent film. You should definitely watch Godfather and especially Godfather 2.

I havn't seen any of the Harry Potter films and dont want to either. Another film I have never seen is Shrek.

Errr, how do you know they're boring if you've never seen them?

I have this crazy notion where I dont judge a movie unless I've actually seen it, despite its subject matter, informed opinions are fun :)

I've seen Spartacus about a dozen times as I've bought it on dvd. It is a great movie and well worth spending over two hours of your life watching it.

I've seen Moon and while I thought it was good, I wouldn't rave about it like some others have done. I can't see myself watching it again anytime soon.

I judge a movie to be great when:

    (a) you are sorry when its over

    (b) you care what happens to the characters

    (c) you watch it numerous times

Btw, for those who haven't seen the original Shrek, you are missing out on a modern classic which the sequels didn't live up to.

    Avatar is really s-h-i-t.
Don't buy it, don't watch it.
Worst most over-hyped rubbish ever. Just watch Dances with Wolves and pretend they are blue skinned.

I have never seen any Harry Potter or the Vampire (teenage) movies they make nowadays.

I've managed to never see alot of the 1970s and 1980s action films that so many people adore. I have seen a handful like Predators, but I think I'm too young to have 'been there', and now they just come across as naff. So I've never seen, say, Scarface, Rocky, most of the Arnie / Stallone / other generic action star vehicles - I just honestly have no interest in them whatsoever.

There are many I'd like to see someday, though, that I have yet to get around to. The likes of Raging Bull, Heat (which I've only seen the first half hour of for some reason), the end of Apocalypse Now (I know - again, for one reason or the other I've never seen past a certain point), Easy Rider and an awful lot of mid 20th century American cinema. The latter is something I really need to rectify. Considering I've enjoyed some I've seen like Sunset Boulevard, The Apartment (so should definitely check out the other Billy Wilder stuff) and A Matter of Life and Death, I definitely have to watch the likes of Gone With the Wind and Casablanca. Some day, perhaps, some day.

Also, never seen Twilight, but I take it for granted the majority of people over a certain age haven't.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    Apocalypse Now
    Raging Bull
    Taxi Driver
    Dances With Wolves
    American Psycho
Once Upon A Time In The West

Haven't seen Shawshank Redemption yet, but it's on my to-do list right after i read the book (which isn't going to be soon)
Alien/Aliens, even though they're on the UPC box
Godfather films, just no interest in them really
    Schlinder's List
Batman Begins/The Dark Knight, brothers are giving off to me for not watching them, but i've other stuff to be watching first.
most 70's/80's films cos i wasn't even born then, but have a load of them on tape from when my brothers got them.

I hadn't seen Wall Street until this week. I wanted to watch the sequel, so I thought I should see the original first.

Having watched both now I'm delighted I did, if I had watched the sequel first I wouldn't have bothered going back to watch the first and would have missed out on a fantastic film.

    Godfather 2 or 3.

    Can't believe I haven't seen either, particularly 2.

Only saw Casablanca a few months ago. Not particularly impressed either.

    +1

I always go to the flicks on my own, usually to an afternoon show when I bunk off work. I usually (well almost) have the cinema to myself. No one asking questions or shuffling their bag of sweets or slurping their drinks or yapping to their mates or munching on wiffy nachos, AND its cheaper. No brainer really. I can't understand why people prefer to go in the evenings and have to put up with the above while paying for a more expensive ticket, and struggling to enjoy the movie while some gimp and their friends are giggling and texting and throwing popcorn at each other.
