Best Black ops gun and perks combo.

I thought a thread were people give there fav gun/perks combination would be good.

Ill start off:

Only at level 27 or somthing but this is what Im goin with at the moment.

AK74U - Not great for long range but anyone coming around a corner will get minced.

Steady Aim
Lightweight

Frag
Claymore
Gas

Cant really remember what other equip right now but I defo think The ak74u with steady aim is the business. Barely even use the sight on it.
Started with the enfield but it tends to kick to much.

So far this works best for me but Im open to other idead.

its a beast of a gun with the supressor,i like the galil with supressor with hardline slight of hand and marathonclaymore frag and gas,

Hardline - By far the best Perk 1 IMO
Warlord Pro (For the attachments. When I'm using the AK47 though, I use Hardened.)

It weird but I'm having a lot more joy with claymores in COD:BO than in previous games.........might be down to people still learning the maps, just wondering have people noticed this also.

The claymores blow up so quick now. No click or anything just explode straight away.

Used to be able to pop in and out of a door to check for them but not anymore!

I can definitely understand why so many guys love the Ak74u, great gun, but ive moved on to:

AUG w/ Extended Mag & Suppressor.

Ghost
Warlord
Ninja

Frag/Nova/Claymore

Spy Plane/Mortar/Attack Chopper

Switched to a more stealthy approach a while back ala Ghost & Suppressor and its amazing how much more kills you gain because of this advantage. Also love how the suppressor doesnt make a gun completely useless like in previous games

Also think claymores are essential for the few kills it almost guarantees. Like one guy said, they explode quicker and are much harder to spot.

And of course my little Watchmen Smiley on my gun.....

Also, have to say, server issues aside, this is a great cod game, so balanced, reminds me of CoD4.

A few of us commentated about this the other night, claymores are way more powerful than before. I havn't survived a blast from one, even from dolphin diving past one (as in Sprrratt's video )

I have a FAMAS and PSG1/L96A1 class (only ones that would be moderately active aside from the AUG) - I kinda forgot about the AUG for a while in favour of the FAMAS, but after going back to it for another try, it feels somewhat stronger and seems to have less recoil than the FAMAS.

I've gotta throw some points into the SMG's at some stage (I was a massive fan of the UMP45 back in MW :P), I've barely glanced at them (aside from the occasional stolen AK74u) since I had acquired custom classes

Hardline Pro gives you the option to change the resulting killtreak from a care pack, say from an RC-XD to a Napalm Strike. It also offers you it for other airdroppable killsteaks, Sam Turret and Sentry Gun.

Before i prestiged my main class was:

As i played more with this setup i found i began to rely on my UAV to much and any enemy player running Ghost and a Silenced gun and camping would piss me right off. Now that im Prestige 1 i have actually fallen in love with the M16. Never used it in any previous CoD games but its really nice. Running this early game setup at the moment:

M16 + RDS
Handgun, gonna change to the full auto handgun when i can.
Frags, Willy, Claymore
Hardline
Hardened (I think)
Marathon
RC XD, Care, Attack Chopper.

I get atleast 2 kills on every death (2.10 KDR) and just let my RC cars build up, near the end of the game i find a spot and unleash them 1 after another, lots of fun I wish you could change killsteaks mid game like you can classes. So if i enter a lobby full of camping ghost silencers i can switch it up to RC XD and go nuts.

all i'll say is that the pistols are fairly useless compared to having a shotgun as a secondary so i pretty much only run with a the stinger thingy as my backup . even when a game is going bad you'l still score high from taking down the enemy air

Did not know you could STACK a killstreak package!!!! So if you stack say 3 RC cars you can use them one after the other or did I read the OP wrong

Cant really find a gun that fits TBH....LMAO, I change them up alot maybe coz I am new to the game and COD veterans know the score with the weapons.

Famas is sweet but I love the SMG that looks like it and only the bottom half of the barrell attached (Cant think of the name PL345 or something)

MP5K with Extended mags. (Decent early gun, but dropped as soon as AK74U gets unlocked)
AK74U with Grip. Grip makes this great gun even more manageable. Seriously, try it out.
AUG with Silencer and RDS/Reflex sight
Galil with RDS
Stoner63 LMG with RDS/Reflex sight

Perk 1
Playing TDM I use Hardline Pro
Playing DOM I use Lightweight or FlakJacket. LW good for getting to flags to defend/cap, or FJ for surviving grenades while on flags.
I used to use Ghost, but now run with SAM killstreak so don't worry about SpyPlanes anymore

Perk 2
If I'm using a SMG, I use Steady Aim to hip fire up close.
If I'm using a AR, I tend to use Warlord or SOH
If I'm using the Stoner, I use SOH

Perk 3
Marathon
When they un-nerf footsteps to allow sound-whoring again, this might switch to Ninja again.
