Just want to ask if anyone is in the same boat as me because everyones seems to speak highly of him except a few minor things and so far ive had an absolutly terrible experience.Ive had things in customs many times coming from the US before and they took a max of 3 days to leave customs, it seems to me like hes lieing.

4 20kg weight plates ordered on 6th October, listed as in stock. They were in stock because I wanted a belt also but that was not in stock.

I emailed on the 14th and asked why they hadnt arrived, I got a response on the 15th

    Hi Daniel,

sorry about that, when you ordered the plates they were out of stock.
It shows up at the bottom when you add things to the cart but some
people don't notice. The plates are due in on the 21st of this month
if you can wait or I will issue a refund if thats what you would
    prefer.

    Thanks,

    Mick

I didnt get the plates so I emailed him on 28th
    > Hi you said the plates were due in on the 21st but I still havent received
    > them. Can I expect to have them by friday?

    His response on 28th:

    Hi Daniel,

sorry about the delay, they have been stopped by customs for a few
days but should be released today and hopefully delivered tomorrow. I
could bring them over to you because you are only in xxx on Friday
or Saturday if you want (once they do come in tomorrow).

They didnt arrive so I emailed him on 31st

    > Do you know when I can expect them?

    He responded on 31st
    Hi Daniel,

sorry but they didn't get delivered Friday but will be with me on
Monday. I will get them out to you on Monday or Tuesday.

    Thanks,

    Mick

I mailed him on 1st November asking for compensation

    > They didnt come and its been a very long time since I ordered them.I just
    > wanted to ask if its possible to receive some compensation?I wanted to get a
    > bodybuilding belt and I see you have them.Could I get a medium size one of
    > these when they are in stock?

    He responds on the 3rd:

Ok I can give you a belt for free.

    Thanks,

    Mick

I have mailed him about 4 times since the 3rd and no response since then.
Seems like a scam to me.

So what you're saying is- there's been a delay with your order, the company have responded quickly to most of your emails and have offered you a free belt for the inconvenience?

That's not what he said. He ordered what he thought was in stock and now he hasn't recieved an email response in 2 weeks. If you're gonna be a smart ass try and at least read his post.

I did read the post and less of the insults like a good lad. If Mick has replied to all the ops e mails, I don't know if I believe that he just stopped responding.
I've ordered hundreds of thousands euro worth of kit from Irish lifting over the years and never had an issue.

In fairness they do get the goods to you eventually but for customer service and communication they are def lacking. I was to pick something up from the shop one morning but arrived to find it all locked up and no sign of it opening, even though i had told them i would be there to pick it up. Very slow on replying to emails or keeping you up to date. In fairness the strength training goods service and prices and options in Ireland is pretty terrible and I'm sure there is a market there for somebody with a decent business brain

There was a delay on my order but when dealing with customs these things happen.

Mick left me voicemails on the mobile a few times with updates.
Can't ask for me then that

To be fair Mick was the main with the decent business brain who filled the void when there was one. And there rarely is anyone saying bad things about him bar one or two threads that have cropped up here. Very few relative to the amount of praise people heap on him.

You got your answer over in Consumer Issues, what's this thread about?

To see if anyone else experience something like this.

must say I ordered a bit of gear - bag, bracket and a few other things. Was told I could collect in camden street so I drove in one evening - and half the stuff was missing despite being told it was all there.

That said it wasn't mick but some sidekick.

I was pissed off at the wasted journey tbh ( well half wasted)

I suppose in the interest of completeness I have ordered supplements previous to that and there was no issue.

Wasn't another thread about this closed today? I've never had any trouble with irish lifting and there are a few folks around here who recommend them (having used them before I assume). Even if you have had a problem though, it's not really a fitness issue and starting multiple threads is kinda pointless.

dacookie Mickk has been answering questions directly for you on your thread in Consumer Issues, I don't see what purpose this thread serves.

Edit: if a Moderator closes your thread (as the drifter did earlier) do not open a new one.
