I hurt my shoulder/back loading a truck at work . The big muscle that runs from my shoulder blade to my middle back.

Its a mild strain but hurts like hell.

I have to load more trucks on Thursday morning.

What is the best way to use temperature to help.

I have ice on it now. But some websites suggest heat to help heal.

Could someone who knows give me advise on how long to keep ice on and should I use heat at all??
I need to be back in action quick

Well we're not allowed give out medical advice.

However your doing right by icing it. You should be resting it also and seeking medical advice.

It sounds like you've injured a Rhomboid muscle, its a common injury in Judo and Jitz and can br troublesome if not looked after.

    Best of luck with it.

yeah that feels like the one. Its not bad enough to see a doctor. I have only strained or pulled it a bit. Had the exact same injury on the same side 3 weeks ago. It seemed to get worse before it got better.

I will keep it cold then I guess..
