The vast majority of people i've played this game with or spoke to about it, even reading the threads on here about, dont have many positive things to say about it. I know i'll be trading in soon

Graphically inferior? Sure but they way some people use that argument is somewhat comical. I can name a host of games within a series with inferior graphics yet still surpassed the graphically superior game in the most important aspect, gameplay.

It's a hell of a lot closer (sniping excluded) to COD4 than MW2 was imo. The only thing is there should have been titles that you unlock for challenges again imo because that was an addictive aspect of MW2 that I feel is neglected in this game, the sense of achievement isn't really there, nearly the same as COD4. But 15 prestiges is too long...

I have indeed and I admit it's dirt!:) But at the time it was out it was like blops,the new CoD game,over hyped,when it's predecessor CoD 2 was much better! Although CoD 2 it was graphical inept it was a better game!

There is nothing to aim for in blops only guns,you can buy everything (camo,sights,killstreaks). There is no sense of achievement for getting 50 headshots or aiming to get a nuke.

That's exactly it, every COD game from COD2 onwards has been over hyped massively.

I believe some of those who dislike BOPS are people who probably over hyped it up themselves. I'm sure some might not say that. I for one can freely admit I over hyped MW2 in my head a bit, perhaps that's part of the reason I show a lot of resentment for it. I expected IW to deliver but what I got was some dumb downed game aimed at mostly teens(IMO).

I took a step back in those final few weeks leading up to BOPS(for one reason being the developer) and for that I think that's why I appreciate it that bit more. I promised myself not to buy into the hype this time around :pac: I always said it'll take a month or two fully before I can give a fair assessment of the game, MW2 I was very dismissive of it within an hour or two of playing it.

Just to add, to this day I still stand by that COD2 and COD4 being the best COD games released. I'll probably never put in the same amount of hours as I did with the latter especially

I took myself away from all the Blops threads created daily showing clips and leaked footage as I didn't want to ruin the game or give into hype. When I finally got the game a few days after release date I was not impressed to say the least.

But as said to everlast, will give it a shot before dishing my final verdict.

ps3 reset twice now in the last hour and about at least 10 disconnects :mad:.
i wouldn't mind paying Sony a fee if it meant the games wouldn't be as shiit as the multi format ones do be for the ps3.i was going for hacker pro and all the kills i had got haven't been registered due to the freeze :mad:

iv turned the ps3 back on half way through writing this and picked a game of ground war and straight away i get

I think alot of people are just bored of the cod series in general. the CoD games are not games that will last more than a few years, they just arent that good. ID made quake III and its still as popular as ever, at least in the form of quake live. Valve have cs + TF2(TFC before that) and both games are still going strong after 11 and 6 years. Blizzard still have something like 10 million subscribers in world of warcraft after 6 years. CoD just doesnt have that xfactor, the fact that the only semi orginal idea to come from the CoD series is the ADS feature everything else in the game they got from other games.

CoD, to me, is like fifa. They bash out one game each year, sell a **** ton of games and then move on to the next title. Its never going to have that lasting appeal, CoD4 or MW2 is alot of peoples first online experience on these forums so they have limited experience with top quality online games. Do i think black ops is a great game? no, did i think cod4 or mw2 were great games ? no. They are fun... but they certainly arent great games (IN MY OPINION). CoD2 was the only game for me that nearly lasted the test of time... it just fell short.

Im not bored atm but then i was a late comer on the MW2 bandwagon. I guess it doesnt help that there arent many other options for console gamers, with the exception of halo there arent any other BIG online games and thus no real competition for IW/Treyarch . Maybe Killzone3/GoW3 will change that.

It seems that not just a few of my care packages get robbed ALL OF THEM DO ...Ive got my team mates robbing them even though im right beside them and somehow I can never get it back? Ive got enemies coming to me and killing me just as I change my care package to a chopper gunner (this happened 3 times in 1 day)... And all because of that stupid ass radar which shows them exactly where my packages are going :mad:..

Ive also been disconnected from both of the 10k buy in 1 in the chambers I have played and been winning just because some jackass dies and then messes the hole thing up by disconnecting and then I have to find a new host (and fail in the process)...

Have Treyarch NEVER heard of the term ''Dedicated Servers?''...

yeah people on my team trying to steal my care packs when I want to change them is doing my head in. So much that I might just play a few games of hardcore and kill the people who try it. It's how I vented my fury against campers before

I agree the people just move onto the next CoD game when it comes out, but theres still plenty of people playing MW1 never mind MW2 online, and thats been out nearly 4 years, if there wasnt a CoD game every year then it would probably still maintain those numbers, its pretty much the biggest franchise in gaming right now after stuff like Halo and GTA, those rare AAA titles that places do midnight launches and events for.

Im looking forward to Killzone 3 as well, played the 2nd one online a fair bit before I got MW2, but in general itd be nice to have something that isnt a FPS to play, I really must get back into Uncharted 2 online, its great fun and balanced as well so theres none of the nonsense that goes along with the CoD franchise

On the consoles your right there are quite a few people playing cod4 and mw2(MW2 is only over a year old tho), but i think thats because theres barely anything else that can compete with it, theres no World of warcraft or Warhammer, no quake or unreal, no team fortress or counterstrike and theres no starcraft or HON. I actually find it funny how little choice there is for consoles online(Good quality games)... its really limited, like 2 or 3 good fps games and everything else is sports.
