Saw the second half and have the first recorded.

Absolutely amazing match, fans were superb throughout and the goals were top notch. Especially the second one. A sweeping move with a cracking finish.

Bit late for a match thread, no?:pac:

Very enjoyable watch, happy to see FCUM go through as well.

Great to see them go through (even though I had bet on Rochdale). Nice to see a non league team get another pay day in the cup I'm sure they could do with it.

Baz I've been late all my life.
When the first goal went in for fc united I was laughing my ass off. The pitch got invaded by all their fans, some laugh.Fair play to them they're doing extremely well.

They're earning 1930's wages? Heard they didn't want to take the TV money tonight, are they now reaching the rubicon?

I thought it was brilliant. I'm delighted for all those FC United fans. They created a wonderful atmosphere for the entire game.

That game tonight was much better than any premiership game I've watched this season.

It was a very good game - and some controversy to boot.

The last goal was 50/50. The replay from behind the goal showed the keeper did have the ball in his arms, but whether he had a good grasp is debatable.

    Great result.

No better place to learn though, especially if they give the fans a say as they seem to be leaning towards.....if only the Glazers thought of that.

    I believe the chant is:

    "And Fergie said,
    Go watch Chelsea,
    Are you having a laugh,
    We'll be watching FC"

    Yeah he did.

Good for them. I really hope that at some point they re-integrate back into United, more and more of the old fans when they can no longer afford season tickets start going to FC games.

It'd be an amazing story if they drew united at old trafford in the 3rd round. They obviously have to clear round 2 first but it's the sort of thing that the FA cup throws up.

Re-integrate? Seriously? The whole point of the club is that they're completely against the commercial side of Manchester United and the Glazers too.

A fan owned Manchester United would get them back on board.

They aren't against the commercial side of Man Utd. They are against the idea that the football club is there to serve the commercial side, not the other way around.

Nobody sensible has a problem with selling shirts in Asia if it means that we can reduce ticket prices. The problem is when it is no longer about the football and the fans.

    Im afraid you are wrong.

    6. The Board will strive wherever possible to avoid outright commercialism.

Another couple of promotions and they'll have Irish fan clubs setting up, with no sense of irony whatsoever.

I really hope this club is here to stay. it will be a great shame if it goes under due to a change of ownership at Old Trafford.

No they're not against the commercial side at all, they're against exploiting fans for financial gain etc.

e.g. If a game's time had to change for a TV game, the fans are consulted first, it's about Fans first. but they're not anti commericialism

Its clearly says it their manifesto that they are anti-commercial.

I watched this last night, it was like I've been born again and discovered football for the first time, great game, proper passion in the crowd too. It was like watching a football match from the 70's, no overly boring strategic football, just fluent good football.

Yes, they support FC, but follow United. That's jumping ship, imo.

If it means exploitioan of fans, they didn't have a problem with the commercial side of united they had a problem with being exploited for the sake of commercialisim. e.g. fans been messed around with constant changing of game times, price of tickets etc etc.

It doesnt say the board will strive to avoid commercialism if it means the exploitation of fans, does it? Half their songs are anti-commercial.

I'm sure some of them do that too.

It's not some zealot religion, if you go to old trafford you can't come here, it's not a cult it's a non profit football club

'The club set up in protest to Malcolm Glazer's takeover of Manchester United' is a statement often used to describe FC United. But while there is no doubt that FC would not have happened without the American invasion, it was the catalyst, the final straw, but not the sole reason.

The material theft of a Manchester institution, forcibly taken from the people of Manchester, was the tip of a pyramid of destruction, with changing kick off times for the benefit of television, soulless all-seater stadia full of 'new' supporters intent to sit back and watch rather than partake in the occasion, heavy handed stewarding and ridiculously priced tickets propping it all up.

You can keep posting that link it's not going to change anything.

the bottom line is the fans will get what the fans want, that's what the club is about. the fans don't want to be exploited, but they also want the club to be succesful it's a balnacing act.

now if you want to keep posting the same line in a manifesto and not discuss it then this discussion isn't gong to go anywhere.

Interesting question as the boss was asked this by ray parlour this morning.

He said there would be a cracking atmposphere and couldn't see any bad feeling among players are fans.

I would say he knows more about than you or I

I think he said regardless of the result everyone would be a winner or something similar
