Today I drove through many counties. It reminded me of the "How many counties have you been in?" thread.

I did 10, in this order...

    Sligo
    Mayo
    Galway
    Clare
    Limerick
    Cork
    Waterford
    Tipperary
    Offally
    Roscommon

360 miles round trip. I'm fucking exhausted.

So how many have ye done in the same day?

    Today i did:
    Galway
    Roscommon
    Offaly
    Westmath

Most i ever did in one day would probably be:

    Cork
    Limerick
    Clare
    Galway
    Roscommon
    Offaly
    Westmeath
    Kildare

That was a bastard of a drive.

Started in Waterford City and then passed through:

    Kilkenny.
    Carlow.
    Kildare.
    Dublin.
    Louth.
    Cavan.
    Monaghan.
Tyrone (This might be up for debate as to whether it should be included!)

Ended up finally in Donegal (Ballybofey), a six-seven hour trip.

Last week I went to visit a friend in Kildare and went along with her to Monaghan to pick up another friend, then over the border to the off licence.:

So in one day I was in 7 counties:
    Laois
    Kildare
    Dublin
    Meath
    Louth
    Monaghan
    Armagh

I've often driven Shannon --> Dublin --> Sligo in one day, no idea how many counties that is though!

    me driving
    1.cavan
    2.longford
    3.westmeath
    4.offaly
    5.laois
    6.kilkenny
    7.tipperary
    8.limerick
    9.cork

that really puts into perspective how ridiculous driving to cork to see cavan get hammered was.

me and the auld lad did a serious amount one day, left at 6 in the morning and got home at 12 or one that night.went from cavan down to kerry and back up the eastern side, probably close to 15 counties.

Not one day, but in about 15 hours from Achill to Dublin - via Cork.

Mayo, Galway, Clare, Limerick, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Laois, Kildare, Dublin.

Missed Offaly by less than 2km. Phew!

You left out one I think.

If you left Waterford and drove along the N24 to get to Tipperary, then you crossed into Kilkenny for a little bit of your journey.

    Kerry
    Limerick
    Tipperary
    Offaly
    Laois
    Kildare
    Dublin
    Wicklow

It was icy at the time, so taking a more direct route wasn't possible. Could have travelled through more in one day some other time of course, but can't recall it.

I bet tomorrow (or, when I wake up later today) that there will be a thread titled:

"How many countries have you been in .. in the same day".

Course, it will get locked when a row breaks out cause some nerd says that technically when you are flying over Europe for instance, you are entering other country's airspace all the time and so that qualifies as being "In" those countries..

Course, if they see this post, they will make sure their OP has a clause preventing that .. so, I have in effect, changed the future, before it even happened.

    Just call me Reece.

No idea, travelled from waterford to sligo then to belfast all in the same day, how many is that? Let me go find a map of ireland.

    Waterford
    Cork
    Limerick
    Clare
    Galway
    Roscommon
    Mayo
    Sligo
    Leitrim
    Cavan
    Fermanagh
    Monaghan
    Armagh
    Down

Go on the ferry at Belfast and travelled to the other side of Scotland in 5ft of snow. Had a small crash 20 mins from Edinburgh. next day traveled to the west midlands

5 days later did the trip backwards and got stopped at the ferry cause they thought we were IRA, long story, they wouldn't believe my dad was my dad either. eventually got loaded on the the lorry deck delayed the ferry for 1hour. Full scale security alert on ferry too, loads of army. It was an experience.
