    I saw this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA9EhzdN1a4

and I got onto a plumber friend who said parts would cost 50/60 quid.....I thought it would have gone for a lot cheaper to be honest.....im gonna have a search around for cheap parts and have a go at making it.

Anyone else ever make there own dip station?

    Heads.

I looked into pvc stuff once.
We don't have the same kind of PVC piping here as they do in the states.
It might not bear load as well as the american stuff.

    I have sturdy kitchen chairs.
I have used two of those in the past.

    Thats a bit disappointing!

Ye im using chairs at the moment but wanted to get something for out my back garden, i dont want to be bringing chairs in and out etc....

    I was looking at these:

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/COMMERCIAL-WALL-MOUNTED-DIP-BARS-DIPPING-VKR-STATION-/130446913552?pt=UK_Strength_Training&hash=item1e5f3df010

These look like they would do the job. I was also thinking a metal fabricator could muster up something similar for cheaper or is that wishful thinking?!

    Are you handy with wood?
Do you know someone who is?

I cant imagine that a dip station could be that hard to put together.

I've seen Zimmer frames mentioned for dipping stations in some corners of the internets but ya might need to modify them a little. They seem to be cheapish on ebay.
