Its time to let my other thread fall by the wayside. It was a resounding failure. I hope its not frowned upon to start a fresh log like this but i won't be using a points system this time, nor will i be logging other people's selections.

They've missed a bucket load of chances too in the last 15 minutes. Reminds me of the Blackpool game last night - this terrible ref doesn't help either

So VdV came up good for me after about 20mins, Nani went off injured, and Barcelona let me down along with a late goal for Valencia.

    Champions League 03/11/10

    Double
    Chelsea AH (-1.0)
    Real Madrid
    @ 1.92/1 - €5

    Treble - Anytime goalscorers
    Cristiano Ronaldo
    Samir Nasri
    Nicolas Anelka
    @ 11.95/1 - €2

I can see Chelsea winning by two goals tonight, but going for the AH -1 for safety's sake. Real to win is a lot more risky, but after watching them last week in the same fixture they should be able to overturn Milan, that combined with a solid performance at the weekend.

As for the anytime treble, well....i think it has a decent chance

Decided to try to boost by bank a bit tonight by following two of the footy tipster's selections in brazil tonight. I won't do this often but hopefully it will pay off tonight.

Very late goal there from Reggina. To be fair, they dominated the entire match and should have really been playing against 10 men for the last half.

    Premier League 06/11/10

Very hard fixtures to call tomorrow. Can't say i have a lot of confidence in my selections. Was staring at the fixtures and markets for a long time without anything jumping out at me.

Putting United into that first double was very stupid, i had no confidence in them and i got very lucky. Quite pleased with the Spurs Bolton result. After half an hour it looked like a terrible selection - some really scrappy football.

I'm disappointed about the Everton game but i haven't seen any highlights so can't really say much about it. Blackburn did well and surprise surprise, old man Hargreaves done gone done himself a mischief again!

    Profit/Loss: €1.70!!!

Well that one is gone. Arsenal had more than 45 minutes to get a goal for me but they never looked dangerous despite hitting the bar a couple of times

Going for a double tonight of Sparta Prague and Sevilla and over 2.5 goals.

I don't have too much hope for this bet as i believe the Sevilla match can go either way. Both Sevilla and Valencia are blowing hot and cold at the moment, performing well in Europe in and having some poor results in the league.

The last two results from this corresponding fixture were 2-1 to Sevilla, and i'll be hoping for that again. Despite their crushing loss away to Barcelona last week they turned it around immediately with an impressive win in Europe, albeit it against poorer opposition.

Valencia have let me down a few times recently, underperforming and, like i said earlier, very much blowing hot and cold. My hope is that they underperform again tonight in a high scoring game.

And Sparta Prague are in there purely for a slight odds boost.

Stupid me. As soon as i put on that overs bet i regretted it. The price i saw on Sevilla was 13/10 which was really good enough without going on over 2.5 with it. I'll chalk that one down to experience.

    Premier League 08/11/10

Two early midweek premier league games.

The first i'm looking at is Spurs at home to Sunderland. I'm hoping to see goals in this one as Spurs look to bounce back from an away defeat to Bolton at the weekend, which featured six goals. They'll want to get back on track and their home form is somewhat better than their away form. Van der Vaart is still a doubt for tomorrow but i think that even in his absence Spurs will have enough to put a few past Sunderland.

Sunderland on the other hand are desperate for an away win and will want to make amends after that ass pounding they took from Newcastle; so i'll be hoping to see some spirited attacking and piss poor defending.

Unfortunately Tuesday night also brings the glamour fixture of Stoke City vs Birmingham. Both teams are languishing near the bottom of the table and both need a win. I don't, however, see goals tomorrow. I think Stoke had the chance to put 1 or 2 past Birmingham tomorrow, but with Tony Pulis shooting his big mouth off during the week about refereeing decisions and small teams and how Jesus hates Stoke, he is distracting his team when they should be fully focused on tomorrow night's task. Going to have a small bet on a goalless draw too.

    Double
    Over 2.5 (Spurs vs Sunderland)
    Under 2.5 (Stoke vs Birmingham)

    @ 1.9/1 - €5

    Correct score
    Stoke 0 - 0 Birmingham
