    I am just wondering if this is worth doing in terms of employment opportunities . It is on offer on FAS ecollege so I can do it for free.

    I say A+ is more advanced cert. A+ is for computer technician or support person. If you want work in IT A+ is basic knowledge for everybody. More info http://www.comptia.org/certifications/listed/a.aspx

    You really need the practical side of things aswell to pass it.
