Where's a good place to go to get a good scare?

Fairly sick of the old tradition to dress up and go to town in a jammed bar to get drunk. Myself and a few friends are up for a bit of a ghost hunt tonight, any ideas of places to go that are eerie in the dark? preferably in Dublin or Kildare. Any kind of place like old castles, abandoned cemetaries you know the usual places.

It probably sounds childish but it can be good scaring yourself for no reason :D

I hate when people try to post funny replies to these threads by using political references. It's not funny and you come across as an idiot.

Has anyone mentioned Mary Harney's Snatch?

So we can't take the piss out of them - when in fact a good many of them are taking the piss out of us!
    Eh?

Dorgasm says we must not make political puns because that topic is off limits - unlike every other topic I assume is allowable.

I for one, am going to ignore him. It a topic like everything else and open to comment be it straight, funny or satire at the appropriate place!

Don't like it Dorgasm, email a TD!

...And welcome to After Hours. Don't like it? - Click on close.

And I know they are taking the piss out of us. Just because I don't find them jokes funny doesn't mean that I sympathise with them. In fact I have written to several TDs recently because of the education cuts and I plan to march with the thousands of other students this wednesday!

Lastly, no I will not click on close as despite you're hostility towards my post stating my opinion, I like After Hours.

Just bring a slab of beer to a local graveyard. Cheap night out and I guarantee it will at least be eerie.

Good to hear your doing something, I wish a lot more would.

The fact is that trying political jokes - although you think just doing do makes one an idiot somehow  - is something that the best comedians in the world do as well. Does that make them automatic idiots too?

Good to hear but as its been said many a time, If you don't like something ignore it and move on.
In the long run you'll be a lot more content and you won't have to put up with occasional rubbish such as mine for example!

There is a place near Newbridge. Baroda stud. Beside it is an old abandoned village type place, has a mill and all. Went there a few times knacker drinking. Scared the bejaysus out of me. Bring some firelogs. A few cans and get scared.
