The night he told me he loved him for the first time. It was by far the most romantic moment of my life.

I've quite a few bad memories, really. The day before he broke up with me, we had a small argument and he completely dropped off the radar. He didn't answer my calls or my texts, and I knew he'd been going on a long drive. I spent 24 hours scared out of my mind that he'd died because I could not get through to him. Turned out he'd just left his phone at home but he thought so little of me at that stage that he couldn't even be bothered borrowing someone else's phone. Then when I finally got on to him the next day, I knew before he said it that he was planning on finishing it. That whole weekend actually sucked beyond belief.

We're currently in an LDR, so probably when he flew over to London to surprise me for my birthday weekend, he had colluded with my flatmate and I didn't suspect a thing. They'd covered my shifts in work and everything so we spent three lovely days together - and I had thought that I would have a miserable birthday away from home!!

Probably the time we had an absolutely massive fight, after we'd been together nearly a year. We both said some horrible things, and I didn't speak to him for nearly a week because I just didn't want to see him (it was the Easter holidays). I was so upset I burst into uncontrollable tears in work one day telling someone about it, and had to be put on the stockroom until I had calmed down I think he really thought it was over, so he sent me a huge Leonidas Easter egg and a sorry note. I agreed to meet him on my lunch break one day, and it was so good seeing him I pretty much fell back into his arms. We've had fights since, but they've never been so big because we both agreed to try to talk about things instead of letting everything build up into a massive deal.

There are so many but the one that sticks out in my head is the day he asked me out. He wrote me a letter of everything that was in his head since we started dating.. his fears and worries and what I meant to him and on the end was a little question asking me out I remember getting butterflies in my stomach. I remember texting him back at 6:14pm saying YES!

The day when we were in a car crash and I was taken to hospital in an ambulance all I can remember is seeing paramedics around me but not seeing my boyfriend anywhere I was scared he might be hurt or worse Thankfully he jumped into the ambulance just as we were going and held my hand the whole way there.

We had two breaks on and off and then we broke-up, things weren't working out between us and we both had issues that could not be worked out so we broke things off. Better off 'cause we were beginning to get unhappy in our relationship. We wanted different things and realised we didn't like each other as much as we did. I guess we drifted apart a bit!

The night we met best memory of him, chemistry and sparks flew when we first kissed, it was magical and felt a bit like being in heaven!

One new years eve, I'd had a really tough year and didn't want to celebrate, he had said he'd stay in with me and have a quiet one, then left at the last min to go out. I felt at the time as if he had abandoned me to bring in the new year alone after the hardest year of my life. I was so so sad and so angry I scared myself. The saddness was really due to the horrible time I'd had but at the time it was easier to blame him.

Work...he had his own business and I was always second place to that and then the recession didn't help. I know this will sound selfish but he worked so hard he had no time for me. glad to say absolutely not because I am now with the love of my life for the past 3 years!

His addiction to drugs and alcohol and his mother was really hard to deal with which didn't help. In her eyes her son could do no wrong

The day we broke up, it was such a sense of relief. No tears, no sadness, only a sense of freedom. I could never bring myself to break up with him, I felt responsible for him like I was his mother. So when he broke it off, I emigrated and started my life over and met my current partner. Two months after though he rang me from jail after he was done for drug possession/drink driving and driving into an off-duty police officer, we are no longer in contact so I can only hope he turned his life around.

I worked 60 hours a week working 3 jobs min wage horrible jobs to keep us afloat while he was on disabilily only to come home one evening to find he had forgotten to hide his "stash." He swore he gave it up. I'll never forget that moment when I realized I'd never trust him again. He made me feel like such a fool and I hated myself for it.

My camera was stolen one day several years back. Besides it being expensive, it was stolen from my office at work so it was someone I worked with, and I REALLY love my camera. He was working nights at the time and I told him not to come home from work early, but he got out an hour or so ahead of time anyway and managed to get me flowers from somewhere at 3am to cheer me up.

A beautiful magical perfect holiday we had together in Italy just after we got engaged, it was like a mini-honeymoon for us. I think it was the best week of our lives for both of us! Looking back, I have only lovely happy loved-up memories from the holiday. It was just amazing!

Valentines Day when we were going out just over a year. We were in his car driving out to his house for the night and the fecker decided to swerve into the ditch and have a weird random asthma attack, well it wasn't actually asthma, some other weird medical problem, but basically we were in the middle of nowhere and he couldn't breathe and I didn't know what to do and it was horrible, seemed to take years for the ambulance to get there. Scary scary stuff.

The relationship ran its course due to a number of factors. I guess you could call it a clash of personalities, but more accurately he turned me into a shadow of my former self. We should have just stayed friends and nothing more.

I suppose I do have nice memories of the first time we got together. Young love and all that. But knowing what came after them makes that time quite sad. He obviously made me happy sometimes or I wouldn't have been with him, I guess.

Several. Humiliating me in front of my friends/family at a very sensitive family event would be right up there though. That I was so used to be being treated like that by him says it all about our relationship.

I'm not bitter though :P I would say that I genuinely hope he treats his next girlfriend a helluva lot better than me.

He once was 2 and a half hours late for a date and when I rang him he was still asleep in bed. :mad:

He decided to go travelling with his friends and wanted to be single as I was his first girlfriend and he felt he was missing out, that wasn't what ended it (although it should have been!) but being on my own was a bit of a lightbulb moment, realised how uptight I felt around him and was much more myself when he was gone. Then I went to a friend's wedding looking for a boy to flirt with on the day to entertain myself, and met an amazingly funny and attentive guy who made me realise that really my boyfriend was none of the things I actually wanted in a boyfriend.

Such a random little thing, when we moved to Canada for a year I was incredibly nervous starting my new job. So for the first few days he travelled to work with me on the tram, met me after, and made me dinner in our tiny bedsit, which we sat eating on our inflatable bed with just the radio on a cardboard box beside us. It was very Us Against The World for a while!

*Worst memory of this person?
The night we had a fight after a night out and he went home and left me alone in a new city of 4 million people, he had my money so I had to walk home alone at 3am. He also had a really annoying habit if we were fighting, he'd say something horrible and vicious that he'd know would make me cry just before we went to bed, and then turn his back and go to sleep while I sobbed my heart out.
