Fitness diet

    Hey guys,

I recently started a boxing fitness class twice a week, its pretty intense and am finding my fitness and strength have improved drastically.

I was searching the net and found a few sites that seem to contradict each other so I was hoping someone here could help me out.

I want to start eating properly to get the best out of the training.
I am relatively fit and just have a bit of a belly to lose now and tone up.

Can anyone recommend a good dietary programme to help lose about half a stone and tone up?

    Thanks

    1. Create a calorie deficit.
    - either through reducing your intake or eating at maintenance and letting the exercise create it....or a little from column A and a little from column B

    2. Ensure you're getting adequate protein, general concensus being roughly 1g per lb of lean body mass.

    3. Get faster/stronger/fitter/longer at your fitness classes (adding the caveat of adequate recovery between classes)

(If you are daunted by task 1, have a quick read of the stickies, there are rough formulas in there for working them out.)
