Didn't know where to post this...

Went to a surgeon about a month ago was told I had gyno ;he gave me a cost and advice me not to get the surgery ;as I would be left with noticeable scars because of my low body fat/ skin tone/lack of hair.

Basically I'm looking for a possible solution without the surgery now even any find of help to decrease it.

I read here that "Vitex" a herb can help, this thread is 8 years old ;anyone have any experience with this?

NOTE: I READ THE FORUM CHARTER!; I'm not looking for medical advise I'm just looking for another persons experience etc with a product, I realize its up too myself to take/buy these items etc.

    My Diet etc:
Here just wanted to point out that I'm not overweight or unfit in anyway.

You're only 20. According to this article, the large majority of adolescents whose pubescent gynecomastia is not due to obesity, the breast development shrinks or disappears within a couple of years ->

If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend you speak to your doctor before considering surgery or even supplements.

    Hope that helps,

    Paul

Yes I have had gyno since I was 13, went to the doctor at 15 was took it was normal at my age "puberty etc". Went back at 18 (different doctor) was told to see a surgeon as at this stage it should be gone(that doctor write a letter on my behalf) both doctors examined my gyno...went to the surgeon last month. Only started taking protein shakes etc 6 months ago because I enjoy sports so much, I wasn't to improve my ability etc.

And now I'm here depressed as hell.....

Have the doctors ever diagnosed the causes of the gyno, e.g. an imbalance of hormones and the classification?

By the way, this is a site dedicated specifically to gynecomastia ->
    http://www.gynecomastia.org

It has a discussion forum so I;m sure you'll be able to chat to people who have experience with it.

My local doctors that I went too see, had really know idea; I new more than them about it (via internet)... that really made me angry to think someone that studied Medicine for a good period of their life has know idea

The surgeon however had full explanations etc basically "female breast tissue" "hormone imbalance" female hormones like estrogen are active or something...

Thanks anyways I'll check other sites.
