    Hey guys,

Well im just looking for a bit of advice. I'm 16 next week and to be honest sick of my appearance. I weigh just under 10stone and it really gets me down. Although i am a size 8/10 i feel i am so much bigger than anyone my age. I compare myself to everyone i see, all ages and all sizes. The reason for my eating is mainly because im bored. To cut a long story short my friends have recently decided to ignore me. I feel lonely so i eat. I know it sad to be doing this to myself but i just dunno what to do.
Everytime i try to motivate myself it doesnt work. Last year i used to starve myself.. and to be honest it made me feel so good to have that control. It made me even happier to see the pounds magically falling off. It was easy to just completely avoid eating until i began to get massive headaches and was unable to concentrate on anything. I do not want to go back to not eating just to make myself happy.
This year the pounds have begun piling on again and it just makes me feel horrible about myself. Gym prices are way too high for me i just cant afford it. I've tried switching to brown bread, having porridge for breakfast all the usual things. I dunno what more i can do.. I live in the countryside so things like walking to school arent possible :/
So any ideas what i should do? Anything to keep myself motivated and to avoid comfort eating?

    Thanks:)

First, try to get a sense of perspective. You are not fat. Keep repeating this to yourself at regular intervals. You do not need to lose weight, and while healthy eating and keeping fit are good, you should do them for them own sake, not because you want to be thinner.

If you are size 8-10, you do not need to be thinner.

Get an honest friend to point out someone who is the same size and shape as you when you are in town and there are crowds about. I'll bet money you are inflating yourself in your mind.

The bit about liking the control of starving yourself is scary. Food should be a pleasure, not a control mechanism.

What I would suggest is that you help with the shopping, and make sure your fridge is stocked with lots of nutritious food, and that the biscuit tin is empty.

You remind me so much of me :O
    Except you're thinner & younger :)

You don't sound like you need to lose weight at all! You're probably perfect, but just can't see that!

Maybe you could try take up a sport where you'd be able to enjoy yourself, meet new people and stay healthy.
It could help release some stress and make you feel better.
If that's not an option, maybe try some simple exercise routines, I'm sure you can find ideas online.

As for the food, it sounds like you're on the right path :)
Make sure you eat nice fresh fruit and veg too!
I recently bought a blender, and I put oranges, kiwis, apples, cucumber and spinach into it. This way I can try get a good amount of fruit and veg each day!
You have to experiment to find what you like though!
You can get a cheap blender in Argos if you don't already have one.
Just don't over eat, and if you are really going to, then try make it a healthier option, you'll feel better knowing it was healthy!

Also, you should REALLY try talk to your distant friends, it might work out well, be honest maybe, and tell them you're unhappy.
Having someone there is always good.

You could have fun pampering yourself. Maybe experiment with makeup and different looks. Just for fun.

You just have to realise you're so much better than what you think!

    :)

You are that skinny person! I guarantee that in a few years, you'll look back at photos of yourself now and say "What was I complaining about? I'm gorgeous".

Just a thought, what about cycling to school?
