The poster for the Survivor Series pay-per-view has been released featuring the Nexus members including Skip Sheffield, who’s currently injured, and Darren Young, who got booted out of the group a few months ago.
Posters to promote pay-per-views are always done in advance so don’t be surprised if a new, updated artwork is released.
Survivor Series was not supposed to take place this year as Vince McMahon originally said they were dumping the show for a new one however the PPV was placed back on the schedule earlier this year.
The Survivor Series is the second oldest WWE pay-per-view following WrestleMania.

It was announced on tonight's edition of WWE Raw that at Randy Orton will defend the WWE Title against Wade Barrett. It was also announced that John Cena will be the special guest referee for the bout. If Barrett does not win the title, then Cena is fired from WWE. If Barrett does win the title, then John Cena no longer has to be a member of Nexus.

The other poster i seen was this one:
    Survivor_Series_%282010%29.jpg

Because of the placement of sheffield and young will probably be easily replaced by McGillicutty and Harris.

Isn't it a bit odd the way Young, Tarver & Sheffield are actually behind the 4 remaining members of Nexus in that poster?

    Coincidence or something bigger???

I believe that was an old poster sent out to the American PPV providers a few months back. This often happens, the poster with Wade Barrett on his own is the up-to-date version of the poster now being sent out.

I know it's not the up to date poster, but i'm just saying how it's weird that the 3 members who have been kicked out of Nexus/ injured, are the 3 in the background of the poster.

Because they were the weaker of the Nexus anyway.

Unfortunately since WWE has whored out their world titles, Barrett's blackmailing to get the WWE title stipulation has a much more dulled effect. I wish there weren't NINE TITLE CHANGES already this year. But it's much, much less than the SEVEN-TEEN in 2009!! Really, why would Cena care if Orton lost the title? They feuded over and over last year and still have matches this year. Who cares if Barrett gets the belt, Cena can just beat him for it next month?

    Anyway.....

LOL, this must be the longest Cena has gone without the WWE Title in like 4 years. It's like 4 months since he lost it to Sheamus. I could just check the Title History but i'm too lazy.

From what i remember, the last few years, the title reigns only lasted like a month, changing from one PPV to the next

Yeah I'm happy enough with how the title has changed hands this year. Nothing like a year or two back. Still defies belief that Edge is a 9 times champion.

No Way Out last year was just unbelievable. Edge lost the WWE title and won the WHC title the same night. I still think that was one of the worst booking decisions in recent years

You going for a Lynyrd Skynyrd's Street Survivors vibe in that the band members with flames coming up from behind their heads were the ones killed in the plane crash and the band members with no flames survived?

That in itself would be fine if it were extremely unusual for that to happen. It suited Edge's character to do what he did and would have made a much bigger impact if the titles were treated with respect and seen as difficult to win.

The problem is that titles will soon change hands as often as people change their underwear. Which I hope is extremely often :D

I'm more ok with russo booking if it's in the one night than weeks apart [see 1998 Survivor Series] but ya, poor Kofi, and it really telegraphed the finish of the 2nd Elimination Chamber match when Edge came out. Doing it again this year (the same title changing twice) is a bit blah. Titles should never change hands when the rumble finishes.

........and Vince wonders why EC PPV is up a little but RR is way down

I'd want so bad to see Danielson vs Swagger on PPV. And also imagine if JR was Danielson's manager (ie he called all of his matches):pac:

Ted is quite boring personality wise, but in the ring I actually think he is pretty decent. That could be a good match if given time.

99 was mental alright!! I was fine with it since 1998 and 2000 didn't have many title changes (4 and 5 respectively) link

The last few years have been mental for title changes (36 wwe/world title changes since Jan 1st, 2008) but at least they've calmed down the 2nd half of this year

Kaval vs. Ziggler was added at the Smackdown taping. It's a shame WWE put no effort into the undercard because it looks quite good, but they didn't bother to try and make anybody care.

Yes according to the Smackdown spoilers Kaval has decided to cash in the title shot he earned from winning NXT Season 2 on Ziggler and not a world champion.

Well, it could be said that's he's being more realistic in his targets considering he's lost pretty much every match of his on Smackdown.

Agreed with that. Given Kane is meant to be a psycho monster and Kaval is struggling to beat Chavo, it makes more sense that the intelligent face would choose an opponent who was more "on his level".

Not that WWE will explain it this way, mind, or indeed in any way. We'll probably have Cole just bury him for his decision come the PPV...

Last year's did 235,000 - even though the CeNexus storyline culminates here (and has been great!) i reckon a lot of viewers know they can get the result and the fallout the next night on RAW for free.

Last year's buys were horribly low, i think it was because of Bragging Rights....Series usually does over 300,000 buys.

    I'm gonna say 275,000.

Last years didn't have Chris Masters. This is the first Masters PPV since he returned, interest will be huge. I reckon because of that it will be the last match of the night.:)

Normally with buys down from last year, I would go for a conservative enough 240 - 250 000 number, but Masters is such a draw he will add another 150 000 easily. :)

Last year the build up was vile, DX hanging with the midget calling Cena gay! The title was totally irrelevant. The title match on SD had better build up but it was Show v Taker v Jericho, that's not exactly something that screams BUYS!

Ironically it turned out to be a corker of a PPV on the night.

Tyler Reks an other undoubted megastar who looks a cert to be a bigger star than Hogan/ Rock/ Austin is also in the same match.:eek::eek:

Think of the electricity in the arena when those two gods of wrestling get it on!

It did terribly last year because the Cena/HBK/HHH ME was one of the worst built main events in a long time. I'll predict about 300,000 purely based off Roddy Piper's awesomeness.

Just throwing it out their, who do ye all want to win in the Kane v Edge match?

Personally I think Kane has been a horrible champion, horrid promo's and his matches like they have been for most of his career have been turgid as hell. His matches with Taker will go down as some of the worst work of Taker's career sadly.

i don't see any value in having him champ and if he was to retain the list of contenders to follow Edge isn't inspiring. He has wrested Rey a lot and a feud with Show would be truly abysmal.

Kofi is good but its doubtful if he could carry Kane to anything passable in a PPV Match and its even more doubtful the E would push him.:(

Edge as champ coming in 2011 may not exactly be that groundbreaking but Edge's face- turn has sharpened him up in the last few months. We could see him do some good stuff with Drew, Cody, Dolph or ideally Del Rio in the next few months.

    Come on Edge:):)

If Edge having the belt means that Swagger and Del Rio get world title shots then i'm all for it. Otherwise I'm pretty sick of seeing Edge with the title. Dude needs to go away for a while. He needs a gimmick refresh.

Although I don't like seeing Kane wrestle i'm happy for him to keep the belt. I'm not watching Kane v Taker 3 @ Mania though. God damn!! What's the point in beating the same guy 3 times?

While I'm not a big fan of Kane, I'm just glad to see a top tier title get a credible reign with a decent person. The lenght and dominance of the current reign means whoever ends it will get a decent enough boost from it.

Orton, Edge, Barrett and Kane will have to work very hard tonight not to be completely outclassed by the undercard.

Orton and Wade will be relying hugely on the Cena element to make their match watchable as the last PPV match they had was dismal.

Edge will have to rediscover his stunning 2006 form to save his match, Kane is useless unless in the ring with Rey or some juniors bumping like mad for him.

    I wouldn't be confident sadly.:(:(

Think Miz will be involved tonight in some way. Just said "anything can happen" on his Twitter. I know it's his job to promote the show but he normally has a specific match to plug and as he's not doing anything else I'd be surprised if he's not figuring somewhere in the Orton- Barrett match.
