    *insert team crests here*

    Live on Sky Sports 2 from 5pm.

    Despite one win in our last 6 games, we're the fifth highest scorers in the league at the moment.

    Coming off the back of a disgraceful performance against Wigan last week, we need to really get our act together and try pull something out of the bag.

    It's got draw written all over it but I'm expecting a win. We've lost once in our last 5 meetings in this fixture.

    Hoping for a good victory but we need to play well.

    Any kind of a result here for the Hammers puts Liverpool rock bottom.:eek:

    I don't want that to happen.

    The Hammers are rock bottom thanks to early season losses against United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Bolton (this terms suprise package). Newcastle are dropping like a stone having dropped points to the likes of Wigan, Blackpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers. Both teams have have also garnered some credible results againt decent teams.

    As such, I think a draw is on the cards, but if I was pushed to it, I would say the Hammers will take this one. The side has bedded down gradually, Freddy piquionne (amazingly) has become a nightmare to defend against, and West Ham have only conceeded four goals in the past five weeks. The Hammers defence has finally bedded down, and Kieron Dyer (remember him ?) has come good.

    I'm probably being Pedantic but West Brom are definetly the surprise Package Bolton have improved though

    I wouldn't say pedantic. I'd say opinionated.

    Time for Newcastle to start picking up some points. As pointed out we are going backwards. What has been positive however is that the performances have been far far better than the results have deserved. Stoke and Blackpool mugged newcastle and everyone saw the incredible antics at Man City. However we were absolutely awful against Wigan. That said if we perform as we have been in the other games we should win here

    West Ham United: Green, Jacobsen, Da Costa, Upson, Gabbidon, Behrami, Parker, Noble, Obinna, Piquionne, Cole

    Subs: Stech, Ben Haim, Tomkins, Faubert, Boa Morte, Barrera, McCarthy

    Newcastle United: Krul, Simpson, Jose Enrqiue, Coloccini, Williamson, Barton, Tiote, Jonas, Nolan, Carroll, Ameobi

    Subs: Soderberg, Perch, Taylor, Guthrie, Routledge, Smith, Lovenkrands

    Perch finally dropped (I think most toon fans agree has been an absolute liability). and a change of formation for Newcastle. The big lad and bigger lad combo

    It looks a banker draw too me.

    Newcastle Team.

    * 26 Krul
    * 02 Coloccini
    * 03 Jose Enrique
    * 06 Williamson
    * 12 Simpson
    * 04 Nolan
    * 07 Barton
    * 18 Gutierrez
    * 24 Tiote
    * 09 Carroll
    * 23 Ameobi

    Substitutes

    * 33 Soderberg,
    * 14 Perch,
    * 16 Taylor,
    * 08 Guthrie,
    * 10 Routledge,
    * 17 Smith,
    * 11 Lovenkrands

    Perch drops to the subs bench. Simpson returns. Badly needed a change at RB. Perch is useless there. Ameobi and Carroll up front. Barton to play out on the wing?

    I think there are some real weak links in the Newcastle backline that could be exploited by Obinna's pace, and Cole's power.

    Goalscoring not been WHU's strong point so far, dont think they will score more than one TBH

    Newcastle go into the relegation zone if they loose, 9th if they win. Mad stuff even at this early stage

    I thought the one of Jonas was hilarious. Tiote comes out all serious followed by a smiling Jonas.
