    hi Folks,

Visiting Sligo for the Heineken night coming up and will be staying one night (maybe 2)
was wondering where is a good hotel to stay in (something reasonable) and for a few decent pubs that would be good for a few warm up drinks before the gig

    The Glasshouse.

    Sligo City Hotel.
    http://www.sligocityhotel.com/
    Riverside appartments
    Are all in Sligo town.

Also the Southern Hotel isn't too far away.

As for pubs there are loads: Hargadons, The Garavogue to name a couple. I'm not a pub person so other's on here will know better.

I have tickets for that too. The Clarence, where he's playing, is a hotel as well, so you could try there. But the Glasshouse and The Sligo City hotel are both a 2 minute walk from the venue. Plenty of pubs, just have a mooch around for one you like.

I was thinking of one of those hotels. I will probably go with one of the two of them. Hargadons looks cosy so will go for grub and warm up drinks there me thinks..thanks for the info
